  1. Did I just see that...they hoofed the ball back to our half, we had 6 players in our half, they had Falcao. No prizes for guessing who kept the ball and almost scored again...
  2. Our last trip to this stadium was a defensive nightmare, but this is even worse! Hopefully a huge wake up call...oohhhh a goal, IT'S ON ;)!!!!
  3. A bit hard without Drogba to hold it up/occupy defenders. We need to pass it with more urgency/pace and stop defending like non-league players.
  4. Sorry, but swearing and coming here criticising our support in your first few posts is fairly aggressive in my book...OK then I'll humour you. We didn't sell our allocation, you may have been louder, I don't know as I couldn't watch. Comebacks about football? When we've lost to the Champions...not very easy I'm afraid. No offence but your spelling and punctuation makes it hard to read, so is the obvious comeback sadly...
  5. *I'm *City *Didn't *Torres What on earth do you think we're going to respond with? Oh, you're right old chap. All hail Man City! Frankly opposition fans coming on here and being aggressive is utterly pointless.
  6. Ah the school holidays. *Their *Existent* *Manchester City *Would have *Don't
  7. True Legend, on and off the pitch. Cheers Didier

  9. Just got in. A bit (ha!) drunk. f**kING HELL YOU BEAUTY. LEGENDS EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU, GET IN. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  10. I've criticised him at times this season, but bloody hell Ashely Cole take a bow son- absolutely outstanding.
  11. Scott Parker?! OK he's had a good season...but as you say, above the likes of Dempsey, Ba, Cabaye and even Mata is a complete joke.
  12. Amen. Just to add some (rather depressing) stats to your post: Borini- 18 games, 10 goals for Roma this season Stoch- 20 games, 10 goals for Fenerbache this season Sinclair- 22 games, 7 goals for Swansea this season Matic- 21 games, 1 goal for Benfica this season Now Tore and McEachran have been less successful admittedly, but don't these figures say something? We have been crying out for a winger for years, we'll probably splash out 20 odd million at least this summer and yet we could've saved a fortune by keeping Stoch or even Sinclair. Arnesen often got a bad rap for the players he acquired but when you look at it now he did a pretty good job, we desperately need a radical change in the way our club is run.
  13. Dempsey is an excellent player no doubt, but he's 29. The thing that really bugs me is that we very rarely pick up bargains like him, or indeed like Newcastle have done. We should be going for the next Dempsey not the current one who may only have a few years left.
  14. Our last 7 games Samir Nasri (85') Eric Lichaj (80') Javi Garcia (85') Mohamed Diame (82') Clint Dempsey (82') We were fortunate to rescue 4 points from the Villa and Wigan matches, but there's only so many times you can try to hang on and hope for the best.
  15. To be honest I'd have few complaints if Newcastle finished 4th. Pardew has built a top-quality squad on a (relative) shoestring, and rather them than Spurs. Some of the players they've bought, Cabaye, Ben Arfa, let alone Cissé are top notch and vitally are young and hungry. From Championship to possible Champions League in 2 seasons is a hell of an achievement.
  16. Bump :) So I think it's safe to say Josh's loan at Swansea could be going better. My question is this: our next league match is away to Arsenal, whilst I detest them they are playing pretty damn well at the moment, and seeing how we are performing (to use the term loosely) at the moment, I feel our chances of 3 points at the Emirates are not great. Assuming one of Newcastle or Spurs win, this would leave us with a huge fight for 4th. Would it be worth recalling him (if we can at all..) to give him a few games, heck he couldn't be less incisive or more lethargic than the midfield we had out tonight.
  17. Did Schwarzer have anything to do apart from the penalty?!
  18. 16th season in the top 4, get in! Well Man City looked absolutely terrible, why on earth Balotelli was kept on only Mancini can answer. Looks like a 3 way battle for 4th with Sp***s and the Geordies now...
  19. Would have liked to have seen another attacking player e.g. Piazon on the bench in place of Bosingwa/Ferreira, but hey ho. Good to see Bertrand given a start, but it won't be an easy game- Wigan have lost 1 in 8. COYB
  20. The whole "conspiracy" business slightly embarrasses me, it stinks of what Liverpool fans bang on about the FA and Fergie having some masterplan that's somehow stopped Liverpool's glorious march to success. Yes 2009 vs Barca was a disgraceful case of daylight robbery. We were on the receiving end of shocking decisions, but it was a severely incompetent ref. Nothing more, nothing less. Notwithstanding Abidal's debatable red card, Bosingwa could've given away a penalty in the first leg (though personally I felt it wasn't), and so to say every decision went our way is slightly misleading. Anyway, to the game. I feel we need the Drogba that turned up vs Man City and Valencia to play if we have any chance. A midfield of Essien, Ramires and Mikel/Lampard to harry their midfield and provide pace and power, with hopefully Terry staying fit to keep things tight at the back. Whatever happens we've done a hell of a lot better than the other English teams in Europe this season.
  21. Wigan shouldn't be underestimated, on a decent run of form and play good football. Having said that we do need to manage our players well, people like Bertrand and Romeu (if fit?) should maybe start.
  22. No worries! It is awful news indeed, I wouldn't wish cancer on my worst enemy. Has been quite a bad year healthwise for footballers with Abidal, Muamba and now Petrov. I suppose it serves as a reminder that they're normal people at the end of the day, here's hoping he can make a swift recovery.
  23. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17566188 Very sad news...Hopefully at his young age he'll be well equipped to beat it.
  24. Oliver Kay †@OliverKayTimes FA Cup SF schedule confirmed: Liverpool v Everton 12.30pm on Sat 14/4 (ESPN). Spurs v Chelsea 6pm on Sunday 15/4 (ITV)
  25. http://www.dailymail...emi-Friday.html It is the Mail, but if this is true then f**k the FA, we'll have to do it the hard way. Strikes of double standards to me; if Liverpool can pick and choose because of something that happened 20 years ago, why can't we pick and choose about something that will (probably) affect us in the very same week?! Don't get me wrong, Hillsborough was tragic and we shouldn't forget it, but (as far as I know) apart from Gerrard and Dalglish none of the players have personal connections to the event. What other FA would let their sole representative in Europe play 2 of their biggest games of the season in the space of 4 days?
