Raheem Sterling to Chelsea
Not gonna lie I would have gladly taken Sterling at Chelsea, but definitely not for more than £50m, that's a silly price to pay for him. He's really talented IMO and I think Jose could have made him into a terrific player and a good teammate too. I really doubt whether City is a good place for him quite frankly. There doesn't seem to be any real team spirit in that dressing room, too many prominent ego's like Yaya Toure, hardly the kind of influence that Sterling needs right now is it?

No surprise Dortmund got rid of him, was pretty sh*t this season.

A lot of baggage there but City could have a hell of a player in a few years' time. £49m is just silly though.

Isco
^Or anyone else for that matter it would seem. I'm hoping José's throwing him a few curveballs otherwise it's gonna be a really boring window.

Pedro
Tend to agree with Davey. The trouble is that there are few who could elevate us, Griezmann or arguably Sterling are the only two IMO, the latter I'm very skeptical about. Can't see Griezmann being sold with Turan recently shipped off. Isco would be interesting and an upgrade over Oscar for me as the AMC. But he's no winger though that's for sure.

^He signed a new contract fairly recently, he's not going anywhere. Even if he wanted to leave there would be many more attractive destinations than Liverpool.

Schweinsteiger is still a good player and adds a lot of experience to United's ranks, but he's not the force that he was a few years ago. Interested to see how he does in the PL. if they get Schneiderlin as well then that DM looks pretty solid to be fair. I'm not overly worried by our inactivity in the market as yet. I still feel that we have easily the strongest squad of players 1-16/17. But the question is, will that be enough? Last season showed that we didn't have enough depth to compete on all fronts. Adding RLC into the mix is good but I feel that we could do with another DM, especially as Mikel looks to be leaving. An AM like Griezmann would be good, but only if it's an improvement on what we have.

Asmir Begovic
If it's done he is pretty much the best GK we could have got to replace Cech, especially given the homegrown status.

Remy loan to Besiktas !?
Makes no sense. Il be so pissed off if Remy goes. There was a rumor last week that José had personally blocked any potential move, but who knows!
-
Josh McEachran
Too many managers, too many failed loans and seemingly not enough hunger/humility. Shame, the talent was clearly there.

Arda Turan
^Exactly. Turan is no improvement on what we have and at 28 can't see him improving much. The annoying thing is that I doubt very much that Griezmann will ne allowed to leave this Summer.

Good move by United selling RVP. He's ageing quickly, better to sell him now whilst he still has some value.

Diego keeping his eye in with five goal in kuwait
Bullying opposing defenders even in a Charity 5-a-side tournament! Love that man.

No issue with selling the naming rights. As fans we'll still colloquially refer to it as 'The Bridge' and there's too much money there to be made. Ideally our home would always be called Stamford Bridge but unfortunately money takes precedence over romance in Football these days.

I can see De Bruyne flourishing at City to be fair. Having little defensive responsibility will suit him perfectly.

Asmir Begovic
I'd rather Moses were sold now rather than loaned again, time for him to go I think as he's not good enough for us.

Six Games Being Moved for TV
Buzzing for Swansea, 5.30pm's at home on Saturday are perfect for me.

Asmir Begovic
Don't think it can be stated enough how important that is these days, especially when you consider how few English players there are that are good enough for us.

Arda Turan
I think this was asked before by someone else and its worth repeating – why sign Turan for £30m when Griezmann’s release clause is roughly £40m? I know £10m is hardly a pittance but in Turan we’d be getting someone who appears to be a flexible squad player with a very similar skillset to Willian, whereas for £10m more we get a younger, quicker and more explosive player with much greater potential who could give us a real threat out on the right to match what we have on the left. In short, Griezmann improves our first team whereas Turan, from what I can tell at face value, doesn’t appear to. If Willian or Oscar has to drop to be the squad AM to accommodate Griezmann then so be it. Bear in mind that Griezmann is also left-footed and would therefore give us more balance/options in the AM positions, and I believe he can even play up front if necessary.

What a coup for Stoke!

Asmir Begovic
I think Begovic would be a brilliant signing as a backup GK. He’s in the top 6 or in the PL IMO and homegrown – I’m not sure we could ask for any more from a back up to be quite honest. Sky claim that we are frontrunners and that he wants to join us too. However, I’d be really surprised if someone of his talent would be happy to warm the bench for us and to just play in the cups. It’s not inconceivable that United could come in for him if they sell De Gea.

Arda Turan
Defiinitely not. We need to be aggressive in this window and not allow the likes of Arsenal to catch up. I think we need 1 'big' signing along 2/3 'squad players. Begovic would be a great place to start. Turan I don't really know much about and Falcao I could live with if Remy stays as the primary back up.

Arda Turan
I've read through this thread and I have a very mixed view on this. I've never really watched Turan so I can't really comment on his abilities, but I don't really get why we would spend £30m on someone who appears to be a Willian clone? If Cuadrado is going out on loan and we need someone for the squad then surely we need a player with some craft, trickery, not just another tireless worker like Willian who doesn't provide much attacking spark from the right? The fee worries me a lot too because we'd never recoup anything like that for a 28 year old unless he explodes on the scene, and by all accounts he doesn't seem to be the kind of player who will.

I've never understood the fuss over Ramos to be honest, I think he's really overrated. Always liable to make rash decisions, bit of hot-head too which isn't what you need at the back. If United want to spend £30m on him then be my guest. Schneiderlin could be a great signing though to be fair. Even if they sign those two they will still need another 3/4 really good players in certain positions to challenge IMO.

Our New Stadium
I like the look of that. I really want something unique, not for us to play in yet another soulless bowl. I'm really hoping that one of the ends is like the Dortmund 'Wall' - An enormous Lower Tier that just keeps going up!
