Amazing that Stoke rate a good keeper like Begovic at 10.5m , yet our our world class edition can be had for 11m apparently.

Both have a year left but Begovic is 6 years younger. Still think he's overpriced at anything over £7 million though. Maybe a deal involving Moses?

Will he be happy to be a number 2 here? Is not like Tibo is on his last legs, could only see Begovic asking to leave next season after failing to get much game time this season if he does indeed arrive.

£6m + Moses would be fair. Much rather Begovic than Green (as rumoured)

Quality goalkeeper, and Stoke have Butland ready to step in goal. Problem is obviously playing time, would he want to be limited to Captial one cup games? i doubt it

He would be a perfect replacement but i can't see it. He's a top goalkeeper and coming to the peak of his career, he could join many teams challenging for trophies as their first choice keeper.

We will be very lucky if we manage to find any keeper who is half decent willing to sit on the bench for his whole Chelsea career, which is what they will do, barring injury to Courtois.

Usually we end up getting in a much older keeper, who is happy to sit out the last few years of their career. Like a Hilario or a Sullivan or a Schwarzer, etc...

I presume our 2nd choice goalkeeper will play Capital one Cup games, it seems a regular theme nowadays.

Maybe if we do something similar to what we have seen done at Real and Barca with their keepers and give Begovic all the League Cup and Fa cup games, as well as some lower profile League and Champions League games, that will be enough for him to agree to join for a year or 2, after which we likely sell him on for more money than we pay for him, especially if we can just swap him for Moses.

The Guardian reporting that Mosses apparently isn't keen to be involved in any potential deal as he is unsure if he wants to make his loan move to Stoke permanent.

He is far too good for Villa

Totally agree but he'll pretty much play every match vs sitting on the bench for us. Wouldn't blame him for choosing minutes over trophies whilst not playing much

Definitely. I think he would be better off staying at Stoke. As a club they are a lot more balanced than Villa and seem to be improving. Villa are stuck in a rut and have been for few years now.
