Can see him doing well there, I think he's a decent PL manager. Should never have got the England job, he was way too 'green' to handle the pressure of the role.

I would say well done Arsenal but after all the bitterness and 'Boring' b*ll*cks over the last month or so I'll just focus on how abysmal Villa have been today.

Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2014-15
This notion that ‘Chelsea and/or other London hooligans were to blame’ seems fairly fanciful from what I’ve read. The vast majority of first-hand accounts of Juventus fans pins the blame firmly on the Liverpool fans, as do most of the books and other publications that have been written about the tragedy. I’m sure that there were Chelsea, Millwall, West Ham etc in Brussels there on the day as it was customary back then for firms of clubs to travel abroad to wherever other English clubs were. Sadly, any excuse for a tear-up it would seem. But there just doesn’t seem to be any concrete evidence to suggest that non-Liverpool fans were culpable. Ultimately, it’s only some of those connected to Liverpool that think this, whilst all those that were charged in the aftermath were from the North West of England.

Random Rumours
Falcao – Please, just no. From what I’ve seen Falcao doesn’t look like a PL striker at all, I don’t think he can handle the physicality of English Football. He also reminds me a lot of Torres in that his injuries have robbed him of the electric pace and movement that he once had. In fact, it looks as though he just can’t physically carry out what his brain tells him to do, just like Torres who would constantly stumble over the ball, misplace passes, shots etc etc. I don’t care how great a paycut he’s willing to take, I would much rather Bamford were the no.3 striker, or that we were to sign a physical type of forward to replace Drogba. We don’t need a quick striker that likes to run in behind, we already have that in Loic Remy.

Wasn't aware of that. What can you expect though having been educated at La Masia since adolescence?. At least he's not a pr*ck like Busquets.

An absolute legend, I even remember watching him at the Bridge back in 2000. I don't have a lot of time for Barcelona as a club but he's been not only a terrific player for years but also a great ambassador for the game. IIRC he's hardly ever said or done anything controversial either on or off the field.

Frank Leboeuf: From football to acting.
I watched that the other night and was like 'hold on a minute...He's here, he's there!'

Laughable eh? As laughable as Cuadrado?

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
About time Jose showed some respect to the away fans. He's moaned about the home fans a lot so it's only fair that he acknowledges the consistently vocal away support. Thank you, Jose.

About time Jose showed some respect to the away fans. He's moaned about the home fans a lot so it's only fair that he acknowledges the consistently vocal and supportive away following. On the way - pff whatever. Let's just get the Sunderland game over and lift the title. The players understandably aren't quite there mentally and something like tonight is likely to happen. Thought RLC looked decent again. Would definitely have him in the squad next season. Could be a great partner for Matic in the 'pivot.

Who here would take Sterling? I think I would to be honest. My no.1 choice, if we get another AM, would be Griezmann, but Hazard - Willian - Sterling would be very good too. All 3 can play in all of the AM positions and would be able to interchange. Even if we don't get him we at least drive the price up for City or whoever ultimately do sign him.

Super Frank's Send Off
Whoever here is going to the Hawthorns and/or the Sunderland game, Frank's name will be sung on the 8th minute. Please spread the word.

You've not picked me again, Gaffer. You promised me regular first-team football at the start of the season and I don't make the bench any more for a meaningless end-of-season dead-rubber. This is unacceptable. I hereby formally hand in a request for transfer. Don't be suprised when you see me over at TalkChelsea next season !

Reminds me more of Torres. Just physically unable to do what his brain wants and ultimately just looks very cumbersome and unthreatening.

Juve can do it, no doubt. Defensive organisation, tactical discipline and collective tenacity can go a long way in this competition. And they have the quality in the final third too. Knowing how Barca play, there will be opportunities for Juve on the break. That said, do they really have the pace to capitalise?

Goal of the Season
Should be Schürrle's without a doubt. Otherwise I'd got with Costa's vs Arsenal, that was incredible.

From what I've seen and read I wouldn't want either Bale or Pogba. Bale would be a luxury, given his price tag and the fact that it would be prevent us from strengthening the areas that we need to this Summer above all - CF, CM and arguably CB too. I'm sure Bale would be excellent again in the PL and would give us a formidable dual threat out wide along with Hazard, but if we really want another AM then for half the price we could have Griezmann who may not have Bale's pace but is better in possession and by all accounts has the potential to be as good. Pogba is another one who, for me, simply would not be good value for money. I've watched enough of the Serie A to know that, similar to last night, he drifts in and out of games, largely wandering on the periphery. Sure, his knack for scoring blinding goals is incredible, and his overall talent is sky high, but I just don't see him being a good fit for us. I don't see Pogba being the type who will work his nuts off for the team in the way that JM would demand of a CM before anything else. For what it's worth, a good mate of mine works for BT Sport on the Production of their European Football show where they cover Juventus frequently. He has similar reservations as me. If we want a CM that badly, then we could get Koke for about half the price. Sure, he might not be as gifted as Pogba but he'd be an excellent fit for us given that he's played in a similar system for Simeone. He's also very creative and tenacious indeed.

Our New Stadium
This is exactly how I feel. I don't them to build a soulless, corporate bowl like the Emirates or Wembley. What I'd like is a recantuglar/square shaped ground with defined stands. In particular, I'd like one end to be 1 huge tier, like they have at Dortmund. This would be great for atmosphere and would give the ground some identity. In short, the kind of plan they had for Battersea would be brilliant. Just a thought - I'm no architect but I wonder if they are considering building the stadium from a deeper foundation, so as to fit more people upwards? I'm sure there will be restrictions in terms of how high the stands are allowed to be, given 'light pollution' etc, so I wonder whether this is something being discussed.

Support Local vs Non Local
Whilst my family are from Finland originally, I was born in 1989 in West London and the first house I ever lived in was on Maxwell Road (SW6) which is about half a mile away from the ground. Growing up in the mid 90’s I was always drawn towards Chelsea for this reason, attending my first game against QPR in 1995 I think. Whilst we ultimately settled in Kingston (Surrey) as a family, my best mate til about 2001 was a 3rd generation Chelsea fan with ST’s in the MHL. He and his family were a big factor in me becoming a Chelsea fan; I was lucky enough to be taken to Barcelona at home in 2000 and a few other games too. After this there was never any question who my team would be. So, in relation to the above, I suppose Chelsea were my local team, originally at least. I’ve always lived in areas that have big Chelsea followings too. I wouldn’t say that I have anything against people that support a team from far away, but I have to say that it feels a little more authentic to me supporting a team that you live in the general vicinity to, or at least have a tangible connection to. I will never understand these gloryhunters that support teams from the other side of the country, it seems so fake and hollow. I’m now 25 and still live in SW London and went to about 25 games this year. Virtually all Home League games, London Aways and Schalke and Paris away in Europe. If I was more sensible with my money I probably wouldn’t go to that many games but I don’t feel like there is much for me to save my money towards in the current economic climate.

Our New Stadium
I wouldn’t want a big pitch as it would slow the game down but at the same time I wouldn’t want something tiny and crampt. I think the size of the pitch at the Bridge is fine. What I would love to see as part of any new ground would be at least one end in the style of the Dortmund ‘Wall/The Kop. Ie. One huge lower tier that just keeps ascending to the roof. Would be brilliant for atmosphere. Who knows, perhaps this could be the ‘New Shed’ or something like that. Ideally I’d like to see this as an all-standing tier but that seems very unrealistic at this point.

Antoine Griezmann
What intrigues me about Griezmann a lot is the fact that he's left-footed. That, along with his superb talent, would really round off our AM options in giving us someone who can cut in off the right-hand side and wreak havoc on his stronger foot.

Regarding Arsenal Fan TV, I've watched a lot of the interviews over the course of the season and it presents an interesting chasm between the attitudes of the more old school Arsenal fans, like Claude, and those of the new breed, like Ty and Moh. Whilst he is clearly very emotional, Claude actually talks a lot of sense. He hasn't forgotten what the Arsenal of old were like in the 90's, how they could grind out results, 'bore' the opposition but still win games and ultimately trophies. He gets what Football is about ie. winning. I feel sorry for Claude in some ways because he must find the new breed of Arsenal fan utterly embarrassing. The likes of Ty, Moh are all so engrossed by Arsenal FC's grand narratives - 'tradition', 'class', playing football the 'right' way, and this insistence on winning negligible victories to mask the ultimate failures of their team - that they've almost become blind to what really matters. Basically, laugh at Claude as much as you like but at least he knows what he's talking about! Unlike the myopic Megastore Men.

Best Abramovich Era victory over Spurs
For me it boils down to three: The 5-1 FA Cup Semi, 4-2 at WHL and the most recent, the 2-0 in the COC Final. The last 2 are particularly poignant for me for various reaons. Firstly, I was there for both. The 4-2 at WHL was actually the first away game I'd seen us win, only took something silly like 6/7 attempts! It was an incredible game as well, one where we were 2-1 down as well. Atmosphere was utterly unreal, bellowing out 'Champions of Europe, we know what we are' at theirs was just brilliant. If I had to pick one I think it would be the COC. Had a great day out at Wembley and I really feel that that victory gave the players the belief to go on and win the Premier League. Also I think it was first time we've beaten them in a Cup Final and there's something really satisfying about seeing JT score against them. The amount of vitriol that he receives from them is unparalleled by any other set of fans.

Players we let go too early?
Robben definitely. With KDB time will tell. He's certainly talented enough to be a Chelsea player. I mean, he looks a much better player than Cuadrado at this point and is Oscar really that much better, if at all? Matic, unfortunately, had no chance of making it here at the time - He had Lampard, Essien, Ballack and Mikel all ahead of him. Thankfully we got him back. Other than that there aren't any others really that I can think of.

So...Next Season's Squad?
Except for the fact that it doesn't. With Koke or Schneiderlin we can play a more solid 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 with Fabregas as the number 10 potentially over Oscar. The diamond also becomes an option with two upfront ie. Costa and Icardi. And if we pull off the dream in signing Varane and pair him with JT then our defence would be even stronger than it currently is. The key is that it's all about options. Jose will want to be able to adapt the starting XI to any opposition and currently we can only do so much because the squad is 15/16 players deep.
