Isco

Featured Replies

Great competition for Oscar.

I dont think it would be much of a competition

Isco is insanely talented. Hazard+Isco would tear this league apart.

Like launcher said, Isco and Hazard would wreck this league.  Buy him and Pogba and maybe a defender (Clyne) and call it a summer.

                                    Courtois

Ivanovic         Terry / Zouma       Cahill         Azpilicueta

                            Pogba              Matic

              Isco                 Fabregas           Hazard

                                        Costa

Bench / Reserves: GK, Clyne, Filipe Luis (or Kalas), Zouma, Ramires (or Van Ginkle), Mikel, Oscar, Willian, Cuadrado, Remy, ST (Bamford?)

Isco

Pogba

Clyne

That would cost nearly £100 million on 3 players, one of which is untested at the level we are playing at.

You could make that argument for all. Of them

What you are saying about Clyne is the same thing that could be said about Gary Cahill and look how he turned out.

You want us spending £20 odd million on a player who is going to sit on the bench?

I'd be unhappy as well if I was in the form of my life but still get dropped for the poster boy that is James.

Isco is a brilliant player, I'd welcome him here. Will probably go to City though, especially if Pellegrino is still there.

isco+pogba alone would be around 100 million euros

we definitely need a quality passer in there but both of them would be overkill.

if both pogba and isco move clubs this season and we end up without either one id be pretty gutted. especially considering theyd probably be moving to england

isco is twice the player rodriguez is. the kid has the best first touch in todays football, literally

Isco would be a lot more productive for the team then Pogba. There are cheaper options to Pogba who imo has an awful lot of hype surrounding him which is somewhat justified but not to the extent that he receives. Isco is pure magic on the ball and has a very good workrate. Very similar to iniesta imo. His dribbling is on par with hazard's. Think if we bring in Isco it would mean Oscar moves on though.

Isco has less goals than Oscar and same number of assists, in 300 more minutes. In spain, playing for real madrid. And oscar is only good for 3 months.

High praise in here but no numbers to back any of it up.

Not every player produces numbers (at least not the basic goal + assist stat) to back up their play. Would you write off Iniesta as a player because of his poor numbers?

People use it to write off some of our players though

Depends on the player and the role really. A striker or an inside forward can't really be excused for having poor numbers. If you are taking more than 2 shots a game with an accuracy of around 40% (I assume you are talking about Willian) you will be rightly criticised for your lack of goals.

Im guessing you dont rate Iniesta because he never had great numbers neither

Isco is a boss - I would love him at Chelsea. Very silky, dangerous player.

I said it in another thread, but I think if we got Depay as well we'd be unstoppable.

It's interesting how Ancelotti talks about him replacing Modric to partner Kroos against Atletico ahead of midfielders such as Khedira, Illaramendi, Lucas Silva who'd provide a more defensive balance; which ultimately goes to show how versatile of a player he really is.

He's a player that shouldn't just be regarded for his statistics in terms of goals/assists but for his energy and how he contributes to the overall attack. Myself, I rate him for his near-to-perfect weight of passing and movement.

"It is an honour that people are comparing me to Iniesta because of everything that he has achieved, But, and I have said this before, I do not like these kinds of comparisons. Andres is Andres and I am Isco. I am a different person and player. I want to etch my name into the history books myself, both at club and international level."

Loved this quote from him, he's destined for a great future wherever he ends up but I'd love it if he came to the Premier League.

He's got one of the best touches in club football. Incredible player and I'd be very surprised if he left Madrid now. Really should have gone to Barca though to take over from Iniesta.

A midfield three of Busquets, Thiago and Isco could have set them up for years and made transition from Xavi and Iniesta much easier.
