Just like the week before, Phil Thompson shows his unbelievable biasness towards anybody that Chelsea are playing. Why give him our games if he's going to report nothing of the chances Chelsea create, only the chances that Sunderland create?

My point was while we will do better in attack, our defense is very vulnerable. Saying that we seem to have calmed down on the high line a bit now, AVB obviously realised our team is too slow to play it such a high line.

It's sad, but you have to blame the managers we've had since Jose. None of them really bought for the future, they all kept with the old "we're ok right now so it's all good" and that attitude has cost us and we're left with the same team that Ranieri and Jose built. I don't think that Roman will get bored, but I just hope that he sticks with AVB until at least the summer. If we get champions league football then stick with him, if not then maybe search elsewhere.

I'm 21 and I've been supporting them since I was about 8, just before Ruud Gullit got the sack. The lowest I remember feeling was when we went out to St.Gallen in the first round of the UEFA Cup. I know now it doesn't seem like a bit deal but the UEFA Cup was a legit competition that people wanted to win back then, and being 10 years old going out to such a low team like St.Gallen it was pretty depressing.

Great news for the lad, I just hope that he's there on merit and not because of the story.

As Gem said, he has 1 and a half good seasons for us which I appreciate because he was big for us at the time, but he's just not good enough to play for us nowadays. Good luck to him but he's mainly a liability when he's playing for us, so pardon me if I don't mourn his departure.

The only problem is at the moment we're about creative as a margarita pizza. One thing I picked up on MOTD was Shearer saying that Torres shouldn't be roaming around, going on the wing, in defence etc. However, I'm pretty sure that it's AVB who has told him to do this stuff.

All season we seem to have a situation where we always concede. At the start it was free-kicks that were crossed into the area, then we sorted that out and now it's the low crosses. It is quite a concern that Cech just seems to be unable to get these balls.
