Get this thread every time the transfer window opens. In this case before the window has even opened. If you knew anything about Chelsea you'd know that our transfer dealings are kept quiet and rarely leaked. It will seem quiet until someones about to turn up for a medical. Stop reading every bit on transfer gossip and thinking that we aren't doing our bit.

Maybe he could work on his end product with a season, say in the Europa League. Developing experience with his new team mates and a new league?

I’m so excited for this game today. Nothing about scores or outcome and everything to do with seeing all the old boys back in blue. Any Chelsea fan worth his salt with a free night and a spare £20 should be at Stamford Bridge tonight, even if just to see Zola in action again. Just need to find something to kill 6 hours before the match ha-ha!

Obviously, but to a level. He was ahead of Pedro on a number of occasions in the first half when we weren’t even attacking. Think Conte had a word at half time because his positioning was much better.

Still not sold on DD and Emerson looks a tad too attack minded but ultimately we are looking very strong

I wouldn't say that was an amazing window, however, I do buy into the sentiment of your post.

So I hate to admit it but I’m not 100% against this transfer. Whilst I agree there are 100’s of better attackers we could go for, I can see those long balls over the midfield that don’t reach Morata being held up with Carroll’s strength and ability to get into dodgy positions and Hazard and Morata feeding off of him left right and centre. Are there better target men, yes. Would I rather anyone else, yes. But considering all the above along with all of the (many) negatives, if we can get a 6 month loan or a fee of less than £20M (given today’s market) I wouldn’t be entirely devestated.

Isn't he on 100K p/w at WH? I'd sit on the tea lady for that.

I've been against this transfer for as long as we have been linked but at £15M in today's market he really can't be sniffed at. Lets see if he can start to fulfil that potential he showed so early in his career.

Bakayoko just needs some bedding time. A lot of players have taken a season before reaching the expected level. That being said he is not at the level required for a match of this magnitude. IMO.
