Leon Bailey

Don't know anything about him. We could use more of a goal threat up there to support Hazard and Morata, Willian just doesn't do it enough and Pedro is hit and miss. Is he a goal scorer?

One of the top talents in the bundesliga. He scores, and assist, very tricky and has pace to burn. Only 20yrs old, and one of those players if you don’t buy him in Jan, his price trajectory might be like Dembele come summer. Utd & Barca are also interested. Agree with RIP Mourinho; would buy him in Jan if it means selling Willian to make space for him.

It appears he can play LWB as well? Could be useful since Alonso will need rotation/competition sooner rather than later. If we're looking at Bundesliga players I hope the club has at least inquired about Goretzka as well as his contract runs out in the summer, but there are rumours about him having pre-contracts already in place.

Pulisic has a playing style similiar to a young Brazilian we had here who turned out to be a disappointment in the end. Bailey looks alright but there's a dozen other young attacking midfielders like him in Europe who are better. Meh probably take Pulisic if had the choice of the two. Also, these two extremely young players who need to get better and better before they can think of a big move. Some may say Pulisic already has that with BVB.

Oscar? Pato? Willian? Kenedy? Piazon? Wallace?

Which one are you referring to here.

Seems he’s a Chelsea fan.

Are we even after this guy?  Are the sources reporting this at all reliable?

There was a report we have been monitoring him for the past couple of years and will probably still do it, until someone snatch him up. :laugh2:

We wanted him before he ended up at Ajax, he was practically smuggled into Europe and couldnt sign for Ajax even though they rated him as one of the brightest talents they ever seen.

He ended up at Genk and flourished and hes gone from strength to strength. I think the move to Leverkusen was a very smart one, he didnt join a "top" team straight off the bat so could learn his trade and its likely, either now or more than likely, in Janaury he'll get a move to a bigger, elite level club.

I seen him play for Genk vs Cork City in the Europa League qualifiers and he was only 18 at the time and he was by far the best player on the park, two footed with electric pace, great control and touch also.

I think hes very similar to Musonda the only difference is hes getting game time while Musonda is rotting in the reserves for us.

Sorry for not elaborating, not that I'm an expert but he seems to have good dribbling skills and pace to burn - but I don't really see what else he has to offer (i.e. strength, passing ability, finishing... something that suggests he has the ability to become world class). I may be wrong.

I totally agree with your points.  I don't know nothing about the lad hard to tell from Youtube, but I'm tired of every kid with skillz and a bit of pace touted as the next big thing.   First and foremost to have any chance of making it as a top level footballer you need a football brain, a vision of the pitch, and eye for a pass.  Knowing where to run, whether making runs to receive the ball or create space for others.   Also finishing if you're going to be an attacker you need to be able to finish.

Zaha is faster and probably a better dribbler than Sanchez, but the gulf between the two is massive, and what happened when Zaha went to a big club?  Some players look great on Youtube clips taking on 2-3 players on the break in lower level games, but when playing for a big team against a pack defence they just run to the corner then pass back to the full back.  This guy could be the next big thing, we do have to try to find a superstar, however running fast isn't a skill, its a nice thing to have, but not the main thing we should look for.

can we try and land him this window and get the deal done with transfer in summer before anyone else jump the race and increase the price , the guy is good can be real helpful for us

so lets say we lost Hazard for the £100 -£150 + Bale that's reported, Swapped Bats for Pulisic & took Bailey too (especially as he may qualify/play for England).... I wouldn't be screaming at that. Admittedly losing HAzard would be awful but if he decided he wanted to leave and we had to replace that's not a bad group to bring in.

I don't know enough about this kid. Another expensive hype job? I heard the club has been following him since he was 15/16; he's been pictured in a chelsea shirt when younger and apparently wants to play for us.
