It's more likely that Wilshere will single handily destroy us.

Crossing
He's been awful since the start of the season, he hasn't had one good game. He was only getting played because Fergie was being stubborn with Nani. I just think if are going to use an example of a consistent crosser it should be someone like Baines or perhaps even Bale. Valencia is good but not consistent with his crossing, which is pretty much how I see Mata. Not really true, granted Torres didn't always bust a gut to get into the box but there were still plenty of occasions were we could have crossed the ball instead of passing it around in front of a defence for 90 mins. Bertrand did this the most when he played and if I recall correctly he got an assist and generally caused problems.

Crossing
It's been an issue for some time now, I guess the previous game was the final straw.

Crossing
Bertrand used to be our best crosser in my view but I'm not sure what happened to him. I really think you are massively overrating Mata's crossing here but fair enough if that's what you think. As for the bold part, you do realise that the majority of Valencia's crosses don't beat the first man, right?

Matic 45m release clause triggered by Barca ?
Don't recall much English teams putting back buy clauses in youngsters contracts, it's just a sell at the highest price mentality. Then again we've sold our youngsters for next to nothing over the years, making countless losses in the process I find it hard to believe that at least a few of them don't have buy back clauses.

Guardiola confirmed as Bayern Manager
That may be the case now but when he took over it wasn't as easy as it seems nowadays.

Guardiola confirmed as Bayern Manager
In comparison to his previous job and the ones that were available to him, I would say it's pretty cushy. Everything is set up there for success. And I know there's pressure for Bayern managers, every elite club comes with pressure regardless of how "easy" the league may be but my point was that it's not the same as the pressure at Barca. You're probably right about the CL though, they will want to win it soon and you made a good point about them losing the finals. I still think they will accept not winning it as long as he does very well domestically but we will have to wait and see how they do this season, who knows they might win it and there could be pressure on him from the get go to retain the title. Gotze was just the first example that came to mind really, I wasn't implying they were a one man club. All it would take is for one of their best players to leave (and perhaps the manager too) and it could very well trigger an exodus.

Guardiola confirmed as Bayern Manager
Disappointed he took the "easy" route and went with Bayern. They have the most fans, most money and if Dortmund get weaker (Gotze will probably leave) then there really isn't any competition. He's gone from a high pressure job at Barca where he was expected to win everything to Bayern where they will easily dominate Germany and there's not much pressure on them to win the CL; just to put up a good showing. Not to mention Bayern already have young talented players coming through so any "transition" that takes place will be very easy to achieve. Would have wanted him here myself out of the names mentioned but it's understandable why he wouldn't want to come here. Still, teams like Milan and Arsenal who need rebuilding and have the financial backing to do so would have been much better fits for him to prove himself. Guess he wanted a comfy job after all that pressure, can't blame him really.

Matic 45m release clause triggered by Barca ?
I don't get it?

Matic 45m release clause triggered by Barca ?
He hasn't been "terrible", he's been good for them, especially with his movement (If his runs got picked out more often he would have scored more), all he needs is to score goals but that won't happen while he's on the wing in their system. it's way different from Roma's.

Shaw signed like a 5 year deal a few days ago.

Matic 45m release clause triggered by Barca ?
He's also not reckless in the same way as Garcia and is generally more beneficial to the way Benfica play because he's calm and composed on the ball and his skills and vision help to start attacks too. I've always been fond of Matic myself and didn't want him to leave but accepted that it was necessary at the time as there wasn't space in the squad for him and even if there was he wouldn't have been used properly, if at all. He is definitely one of the best young DM's around at the moment but that rumour is utter rubbish. Barca already have some young DM's coming through getting game time already.

January Transfer Window 2013
- We need to ponder our next managerial appointment very carefully...
AVB wasn't taking the club in the wrong direction, it was just too much too soon. His tactics and style of play were exactly the way Roman wants the club to play. Who knows, he may have been under pressure from Roman the same way people say Roman pressured RDM.- So sad seeing young players piss their talent up the wall
I remember him scoring a nice goal v Sc**thorpe in the cup. Don't really sorry for him though, he wasn't motivated to train or do anything apart from drinking and partying. Not to mention he was still getting paid £40k, which is just baffling to say the least. Sturridge wanted around the same amount if I recall correctly and they said no. Sunday League it is for him it is, I guess. That's if he can be bothered.- We need to ponder our next managerial appointment very carefully...
Disagree, we need a tactical manager to get the most out of squad (especially with it now looking like Lampard and Cole are leaving) and that was evident during RDM's time here. Motivation only gets you so far, sooner or later you will get shown up and really, that's more of a bonus/something to be expected rather than a vital requirement. Agree with the rest though.- January Transfer Window 2013
Newcastle offered Remy £65k a week, QPR come in and offer £95k. I really hope they do get relegated, they won't have a team left. Whoever picks up a dirt cheap Granero will be very lucky.- We need to ponder our next managerial appointment very carefully...
Judging from the transfers that was made before Rafa joined Liverpool, I would be very surprised if it was the scouts. Not to say they didn't have an imput but it was mainly Rafa, I think. Hindsight, I can't recall whether Barry was good or not back then but there must have been a reason for it. Vast majority of them were from Rafa, such as Suso, Sterling, Shelvey, Kelly, Flanagan, Spearing and Pacheco. Even the ones who came through the academy such as Wisdom benefited from the input Rafa had over the academy. Ironically he was awful at utilising youngsters (Still is by the looks of things) but had a decent eye for them.- We need to ponder our next managerial appointment very carefully...
Did provide them with some very good youngsters though that are now breaking into the team. I think they were already breaking apart from within to be honest but that topic is for another time perhaps.- Lucas Piazon & Marko Marin going out on loan?
Piazon should have been loaned before the start of the season, seems like a waste of 6 months to me. Would rather we had kept Kakuta instead of Piazon, rather than sending him on another pointless loan. Plus it would have helped us with our homegrown quota. As for Marin, well I would be surprised. He may not offer us the same width that Moses does but he is still a winger who can get pass players and perhaps more importantly, can actually put decent crosses in. With Moses at ACON, I find this even harder to understand. I can only assume we are lining up a replacement or something.- January Transfer Window 2013
Lamah is at Swansea on loan, I think he will be another great signing. Miles better than Dyer anyway.- Following our nearest and dearest rivals
Been watching Liverpool recently and noticed that Lucas is just a shadow of his former self now. Quite sad really, was one of the best DM's in the league before (I would say probably the best DM, can't really think of anyone who was better right now). His knees were probably working overtime last season when he was covering idiots like Gerrard and Charlie Adam.- Following our nearest and dearest rivals

Should just give the armband to Wilshere already, rest of them don't even deserve to even play for the club. - We need to ponder our next managerial appointment very carefully...
