Zdenek Zeman has been sacked, would love to have him here. Not in a "Anyone but Rafa mentality", I genuinely think he's a very good attacking manager.

Think they would be better off signing a CB though and just having Vermerlean at LB. Still, he's a very good LB.

Everton after Negredo and Spurs after Lisandro Lopez. I would rage so hard if either of those deals happen without us getting involved.

At the time Lukaku hadn't shown anything near the form he has at West Brom, not to mention we still had Danny. I wanted us to keep KDB cause he was good enough to get into the team but I'm glad we didn't now, he's playing well in a role we lack players in and will hopefully come in next season. Had he stayed he would probably have been played on the wing and been given 10 min apps here and there.

Kakuta and Essien should never have been loaned in the first place, they both would have been good cover for us this season. The club got the rest right though, none of the others would be of any use to us in the reserves/barely making the bench.

The difference between how defensive teams set up between United, City and us.

I don't understand why teams get 10 men behind the ball for the entire game when facing City but are never that resolute when facing United. Edit: Well no, I do understand it. United's defence is poor but what I meant was that it's not really fair and I don't think Mancini is to blame. It's no wonder United are running away with the title when that keeps happening. We moan when we can't break teams who do it now and then, imagine facing it in pretty much every game.

He's too good of a keeper, for his age, to be wasted being second fiddle. There's only so much he can learn from Cech, it's playing regular football that makes the most improvement. Who's to say it would do any good anyway, I'm sure Bertrand has been shadowing Cole for a while now and he's hardly improved vastly. Also from my understanding, Delac will count as homegrown. While he's barely played during his loan spells, he's still a good enough keeper to be counted on as a back up.

I can't answer in terms of availability, I don't know what it would take to get them to leave their clubs or if they would want to come here in the first place. Did you just start watching Everton this season or what? They are well known as hoofball merchants. Even when they had players like Areta they still resorted to long balls. While teams like Stoke and West Ham do take it to extremes, the comparison between the two isn't as wide as you think/are lead to believe. I don't want a manager who doesn't stray too far away from his plan A which is just hoofing it up the pitching.

Only way I would want him at the club is as a scout and he brought his scout team with him. It really is no exaggeration to say that there are 10 other managers out there better than him. He would do a decent job but tactically it would be another train wreck. Watching Everton over the years is like watching Stoke half the times and they have had some quality players over the years so it's no excuse really. I don't think he has the same man management skills as RDM did either and if he does it's not to the same extent. I just can't think of anything he would bring that we couldn't get from any competent manager. As a last resort, I suppose we could do far worse than Moyes. He just wouldn't be in my top 10.

I probably am remembering it wrong to be honest, what you say sounds about right. Which is why I didn't, I was initially referring to their time in England. Can't comment on the defending really, all I know is that the defending in Brazil isn't as bad as people make out. In fact just by looking at the results of Dinamo Zagreb during Modric's 17 goal season, I would be inclined to say that the defending in that league, at that time, was far worse than when Oscar scored his 13 goals in the 11/12 season. You don't finish a season 28 points clear of 2nd place and with a GD of 57 without the defending being of a really poor standard. I've never been convinced of Modric when he's played as a CAM in the EPL personally. He just doesn't get you enough goals, which is what I meant by goal threat. He picks out the same passes as he does when he plays as a DLP so why not just have him play as a DLP and have a better attacking mid on the pitch? i.e. Van der vaart or in this case, Oscar. In front of goal there's no doubt I would rather have Oscar one on one than Modric. Oscar can also play the same passes so it's a slightly more harder situation, imo, to move him back to DLP than it was for Modric.
