Lucas Piazon & Marko Marin going out on loan?

Recommended Posts

Chelsea are set to allow both Lucas Piazon and Marko Marin permission to go out-on loan for the rest of the season!

Thouhts?

Piazon to Malaga and Marin possibly to QPR

Personally I think the way we have treated Marin is shocking tbh.

Why spend money on wasting a young promosing players career to date?

From what Patrick Bamford just tweeted, it looks like Piazon on loan to Malaga has been agreed. I wonder if this means that Isco could be coming the other way?

Also if Yossi stars to suddenly get games when Marin is sent away I will be livid.

hes been injured half the time, and there are better players in his position. he couldve been used a bit more but i hardly find it shocking

He has only made a cameo appearance a few times since he signed, yes he has been injured but he has been sat on the bench for months now.

He showed in pre season he is a quality player while in Germany he was exciting to watch, players like Marin need a run of games...not being brought on on 85 minutes chasing games or starting the odd cup game.

It's been yet another waste of money so far.

injured? he has been on the bench since Mid-October. For whatever reason RDM & Rafa seem not to fancy him and the irony is had we never won the CL, he would have been a nailed on starter.

Maybe a loan for Marin to show what he can do will do us and him some good. If he has a good second half to the season then maybe he will get more of a chance next season.

Spain will be good for Lucas, hopefully he will get lots of game time.

Could work out to be a good loan for Piazon. They play decent football.

Can't see Marin going unless we sign a wide player. Even with Moses back that leaves us low on options if one of our maestro's gets injured.

Piazon should have been loaned before the start of the season, seems like a waste of 6 months to me. Would rather we had kept Kakuta instead of Piazon, rather than sending him on another pointless loan. Plus it would have helped us with our homegrown quota.

As for Marin, well I would be surprised. He may not offer us the same width that Moses does but he is still a winger who can get pass players and perhaps more importantly, can actually put decent crosses in. With Moses at ACON, I find this even harder to understand. I can only assume we are lining up a replacement or something.

Do Chelsea just want to leave us with the smallest squad possible? I understand both need games but we need options.I don't get Marin though both RDM and Rafa just don't seem to fancy him,he wasn't great against QPR and Leeds but he needs more chances to show what he can do before Moses comes back.

Only makes sense loaning Piazon to Malaga if hes going to be a starter, which doesn't seem likely.

As for Marin, makes no sense loaning him out at all.

Unless we have a deal which means Isco comes here and they get Piazon on loan as a temporary replacement.

I personally think that Piazon would be better off going to a Championship club over La Liga, even if he would get games out there. The style and quality of football is too different to the PL. I know the quality isn't great in the Championship, but at least he'll get games, get tested physically and keep learning the language. Plus, we could keep a closer eye on him. I think that an ideal move for him would be Reading, Wigan or Newcastle though.

As far as Marin is concerned, he can go on loan - we've got Benayoun, Malouda and even Ferreira that can fill in for the three amigos! :laugh2:

Seriously though, he is needed here to ensure a decent replacement is always on the bench, but I think he needs more games and we wouldn't necessarily suffer with rotating our AM's more equally - as long as Mata or Hazard is always on the pitch at least. Marin's a good player and we shouldn't let him rot or he'll just end up requesting a transfer and being a waste of money. But IF he goes out on loan I think it would be stupid to send him anywhere abroad as he needs PL experience more than anything.

Just found out about the Piazon deal and I was surprise. I don't know their team too well, but don't they have Isco, Joaquin and Eliseu in attack? Seems like a very tough loan move for Piazon. Certainly not what I would have expected, especially after the McEachran loan last year. For those mentioning Isco, it's a possibility but why would we give them a player? Once we meet his buy-out clause it's totally up to the player. Even without Piazon we're very heavily loaded in the attacking band if three.

Will certainly be an interesting few days..

Piazon to Malaga is a move I like.

Even if alot of competition awaits him, by feb Malaga are going to be saving their big guns for the CL ties, and I think that means a young talented lad like Lucas should be allowed to go out there and do hid thing.

Like most here, if we send Marko Marin out on loan I will be livid. He isnt some kid who needs more playing time to develop, he's ready to contribute now.

And can we not find takers for the likes of Malouda or Benayoun? Even if we wind up paying half salary to move for a small fee, its better than paying full salary for them to sit and do nothing.

Good lock with the move Piazon,he will never come back.He will be loaned out again and again until we will sign somebody else, probably for about £20 milllion plus. Why do we bother with youth really,we have no idea how to develop players.Yet we keep sh*tload of dead wood around the club,no names because that will upset some people.

People moan when we dont loan young players out, Then some moan when we do.

Never going to win

People moan not because we loan young players, but because we dont give young players a chance in the first team. With all the Europa league games coming(hopefully) you tell me he couldnt get a game.We have played already 36 games since August and still loads to come and we cant use another forward player. And with respect I cant see him getting any games at Malaga, wrong club.It is the last will see of him, like probably 99% of loan players.

It would be insane to send Marin on loan. He's not a 18 year old, he's an established player that needs more game time with the first team. How many players we got left if we send these 2 on loan? A couple of injuris we will be picking kids out of the under 16 team.

Piazon to Malaga isn't ideal, but I don't mind that much. Really, my biggest issue is that he should have been loaned out at the start of the year. One thing that we've done a very poor job of as a club lately is misdiagnosing how ready young players are to contribute and keeping them for bit appearances rather than loaning them out, then doing a 180° midway through the year and sending them out 6 months too late - first McEachran, now Piazon. Lukaku falls into this category as well, with an asterisk because the silly choice to play him a few times prevented us from loaning him out in January as we were the second club he played for in one year.

As for Marin, a loan would be utterly pointless and particularly infuriating if we then go out and buy another wide player/attacking midfielder, as we've been rumored to want. Moses to the ACON is unavoidable, but loaning Marin out would be senseless. This is his first genuine opportunity to contribute as he'd be the first choice sub whenever one of the three amigos have to come off. With Rafatation, he'd probably even get a start or two. But no, we'll replace him with Willian for triple the fee and wage and then sit and wonder why we're in the red again.
