The ref does it again
In that case, you really have to blame Matzeratti for being stupid enough to foul Torres and thus get sent off. If the opposite was true, whereby the second yellow was debatable, then you can put all blame on the referee.

The ref does it again
I am not watching that game, but given that it is the hot-head Matzeratti, that does not surprise me one bit that he received two yellows.

MOTM vs Huddersfield
Until the last 15 minutes, I thought Kalou was horrible. His stupid play to kick in Pizarro's shot that was going in the open goal, while Kalou was offsides, cost us a goal. That, and his terrible shooting for the first 70 minutes was making me raging mad.

BARNSLEEEEEEEEY!!!!!!!!
Why is Arse's loss to ManU an addition to a great day??? The only result of that game that would have been great would have been a draw, the 4-0 result is not good for us.

we're now actively scouting van der Vaart
Wow, I did not know that Rainer Bonhof was a Chelsea scout. He was one of my favourite players back in the day (the 70s), classy midfielder, kind of like a German Socrates, if you know what I mean. I don't care about Van de Vaart, but the news about Bonhof makes me very happy.

Chelsea v Liverfool
No one in midfield played well today. An ugly game to watch, and seeing Maka make terrible giveaways was a shocker. Only the defence made us proud today. Joe Cole and SWP -- what can you say? Both ran around a lot but did little.

MOTM vs Liverpool
Alex, by a mile. Pizarro belongs in rugby league, he has no skills with his feet. Malouda -- another total disappontment.

Chelsea v Liverfool
Bad first half by us. Maka is giving the ball away much too easily. We should be down by a goal, and thank God we are not.

MOTM vs Portsmouth
Oh good, it's early, but so far it is unanimous for Ballack. I thought it was not even close who was the MOM for us. As to our worst player, to me it was Ashley Cole hands down.

Gutted..Pompey vs Blues
I thought Ben Haim was the least to blame of our defenders on the Keystone Cops defence that led to Pompey's goal.

Gutted..Pompey vs Blues
On a positive note, I like the way we finished the game, with a win-or-die attitude. With 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw, that should be the way a top team plays whether at home or on the road. If we would have lost this game, I would not have been mad, since by playing for a win at the end, that happens sometimes.

Away to Portsmouth
Pizarro does not belong in the Premier League, that is obvious. He is better suited for Serie A. Let's stop wasting time putting him in the game in the last 13 minutes or so.

Gutted..Pompey vs Blues
It is a 6 point gap, right? Also, our worry is ManU, which we kept pace with, not the Arse. Believe me when I say Arse will finish in third at the end of the season.

Away to Portsmouth
I am not sad. We could easily have lost this game.

Away to Portsmouth
I was hoping for the final whistle with the score level, and that never happens. I think the result was very fair.

Away to Portsmouth
I agree, Loz. With another referee out there, that might have been called a penalty. The only Chelsea players to impress me in the first half are Ballack, Ben Haim and Alex.

Chelsea vs Reading MOTM
I voted Renato Paolo Ferreira, with Ballack a close second. The bums of the match were SWP, for all his misses, and Malouda, who goes missing for larges periods of the match.

Cech In>
Sorry, but Buffon is better, and he can stop penalites too, which is a major gripe that I have about Cech. I can score from the penalty spot against Cech.

Vs Newcastle MOTM
I voted for Bridge, due to his penetrating runs. My anti-man of the match is Mikel -- totally dreadful performance.
-
Newcastle thread
I feel bad for the Bar Codes, they deserved a point, and our second goal was clearly offsides. Anyway, this makes up for that game where Kalou's goal was disallowed for offsides.

Carling Cup QF vs Liverpool
How much time is left? i cannot even get the game on the internet.

Chelsea (a) at Arsenal - 16/12/07 - match thread
Disappointing. Cech made a bad mistake to basically give up the corner, and then a horrible flap at the corner to allow the goal. Pitiful.

Derby MOTM
I chose Sidwell, based on his great pass for the first goal, and him being very lively in our practically motionless midfield. I think this may be the first game whereby nobody chose JT, though I thought he did nothing glaringly wrong during the match. Mikel, like someone else said, and for him giving away a couple of potentially dangerous free kicks to Derby County for my vote, by I have no qualms with him being the MOM.

Derby v. CFC (a) - 24/11/07
Watched the game on tape last night, and that was two hours wasted. I cannot believe how bad we were! My tape ran out at the 85th minute, so I did not see Essien's sending off, but if I was a Derby County fan, I would be so mad about their non-offsides goal and about Sheva's non-called foul that led to our first goal. We were lucky yesterday, just like we were unlucky two weeks ago against Everton. Nothing more to say.

Chelsea!
Thank you, Glory55. We must severely punish everyone who uses that derogatory expression. I wonder if he really is a Chelsea fan. It's like going on a ManU site, and saying that I am a great ManU fan, and then saying I cannot wait to see ManUre play. Just a bit strange to me, and I cannot imagine it was just a slipup. We must keep an EYE on this one!
