Phillip
Oh good, it's early, but so far it is unanimous for Ballack. I thought it was not even close who was the MOM for us. As to our worst player, to me it was Ashley Cole hands down.
Chippy
Ballack again for me
BackInBlue
I voted for Ballack but I thought the real MOTM was Diarra. He looked class at everything he did, be it tackling, passing, getting by players. Good little player we let go.
superdan
sadly I agree with the last comment - maybe we can swap Diarra for Sidwell
JT26CFC
Glen Johnson made Malouda look like he's never played before, Diarra played very well don't get me wrong, but Johnson stopped a lot of the attcks from us on the left. I don't know who to give the MOTM to, just a pathetic performance from everyone. Although SWP and Joe made the Pompey defense work hard, just a shame that SWP didn't have his shooting boots on today. And something that doesn't happen often, Makalele made a terrible pass that alomst gave Milan Baros a goal
coco
Joe Cole for me. Maka had a mare ! Gave the ball away more than he has for the whole season. I thought Alex played well, BUT Ben Haim, technically, looked totally out of it ! When your the last man in defence you should quickly look both left/right before stepping up, we learned this in under 9's on a saturday morning in the 70's, dont they teach them this no more ? Guest Brian M
I'm amazed people are voting for Ballack. Not saying he played badlly, just that he was outplayed in the middle of the park for a lot of the game, and was pushed off the ball far too easily on a number of occasions. Nobody really stands out for me, this game. So I'm voting for Anelka, as at least he scored.
ozboy
Ballack was easily the best CFC player on the park today. Diarra really did play well for Portsmouth.

geezer
I voted for Cashley because of his record of playing away from home
Guest
I actually beleive A.Cole and Malouda weren't too bad against Pompey. Sure they weren't great, but most of our good work seemed to be down the left side (including the goal) so its a bit harsh to say Cole and Malouda had terrible games. It was in central midfield I feel where we struggled most. We didn't impose ourselves of the game like we usually do and that was because we weren't able to take control in central midfield. I'm not saying Malouda is a better footballer than Ballack, but the way Pompey set themselves out (they played a fairly tight midfield diamond so were very strong centrally but weak out wide) meant that I beleive on this occasion Malouda and A.Cole were able to have decent games and our central midfield was outplayed for long periods of the match. PS: once we put Mikel along side Ballack instead of SWP, we should sort that midfield problem out. SWP is much better out wide (even if he can't cross - at least he makes the left back's life difficult).
coombsie
Oh good, it's early, but so far it is unanimous for Ballack. I thought it was not even close who was the MOM for us.As to our worst player, to me it was Ashley Cole hands down. totally agree. Cashley just isn't doing it for us at present. Why in the hell is he in front of Bridge in the pecking order. Can't think Cole's mind is really on the game at present either. He was VERY poor. midlandblue
Cech for me, without him we would have left the pitch a beaten team.
blizeH
Seems to be a recurring theme lately: Ballack > Joe Cole > Anelka, with the rest of the team not coming close for votes.
Guest Brian M
With Mik back he should go into the midfield in place of SWP. Joe should go over on the left. And SWP should go on the right, with Malouda going to the bench.
Nibs
Don't think you will get too many arguements there Brian, other than perhaps from the occassional poster known as Valim, who seems to rate Malouda more than the rest of us put together!! Tim
I get more and more of a feeling Malouda will be one of those signings that comes and goes pretty quickly, without really ever doing much, and everyone soon forgets that he ever wore the blue shirt. This is just a hunch mind you, as I appreciate he is still probably working his way back to top form, but I just get the feeling he doesn't quite have the stomach for this, and if Didier leaves he will be first out the door after him. A goal and MOTM performance vs the Scousers will go someway to convince me otherwise....
Dirty_Sanchez
Ballack close second would be Anelka. Malouda & Ashley where made to look very ordinary. Maka, everyone's allowed an off day but, thats got to be his worse display I've seen.
