SWP had a good match for us, especially first half.

Swp was allright in the first nowhere in the second, we need Malouda there as soon as possible.

Ballack was allright but should have scored on at least one of those two chances he got, i feel Lamps would have from that distance but who knows.

Belleti got my vote i think he done good both D and offence, he should be permanent in that rb spot.

All in all we played one of the worst games this season very lucky to get away with a win.

Grant still amazes me with his innability to make the right substitutions.

I was initially undecided, especially having only managed to see the first half, but eventually decided to vote SWP, who actually looked pretty good in the first half. It was just a shame he didn't put that header away.

SWP my choice, though should've buried his chances. Really quick, and caused them a lot of probs.

Again, thought Alex looked good, moreso 1st half.

Joe again had a good one, and a crazy, crazy choice by Grant to sub him.

Kalou for a bit of luck at the end.

Who did you go for Moosie? icon_wink.gif

Ive gone for Alex. Strong in the air and made some important tackles. And also our biggest goal threat (sadly)

Still, i just cant help but think he has a clanger up his sleeve every game.

I felt Alex acquitted himself well today. Some good interceptions and clearances and at the moment seems to be our only threat in the air. I give him MOTM.

I went with Belletti. He felt good in defence and really pushed forward when he needed to.

Was thinking of giving it to Hilario. He came in and did what he had to do. But he didn't make any huge saves.

I went for Alex, glad to have him there with no JT or Ricky available. Picked up a needless booking early on but still did quite well throughout the game.

Although quick mention for Beletti, great clearence for what would have been a tap in for Duffa

So so glad to see Shawn Wright-Phillips has turned things around. I guess anyone could see in the two years before now that lack of opportunities + obvious nervousness/funk over those lack of opportunities when he did play were making him look terrible. How many sitters did the guy miss before getting his first goal in blue?

Terrific to see hes finally come around

I've gone for SWP who just gets it over Ballack (who had a very good first half but faded greatly in the second - as did most of our players).

Who voted for Kalou? Aside from the goal he was quite frankly woeful. Nowhere near good enough at this level.

swp for me...people are a bit too harsh on him on here i think...yes he has his bad games where it doesn't happen for him, but he's actually had a lotof good games this season as well and today was another one...respect to alex and belletti as well

He may not have been great but he was a hell of a lot better than Cole was. Grant was right to take him off although not for Pizarro.

Mom for me was Alex. He looks pretty good to me and should only get better.

Honourable mentions to SWP and Ballack for his 1st half performance ( should have bben replaced by Sidwell much earlier though)

SWP for me. Terrible finishing but great set up play and some good solid crossing of the ball. Given a run in the starting 11 he'll only get better. Same with Ballack, who with match fitness will play the Lamps role down to a T. Bridge was excellent today too. Soooooooo much more reliable than A. Cole and much more of a threat going forward on the overlap. Bel too had a good game at right back.

J. Cole was all but invisible and Grant was right to sub him. (Though Mr. Piz was invisible when he came on, so maybe we should've stuck with Joe!)

Kalou was tricky and took his goal well. Alex was strong. Mik gave far too many balls away, one of which cost us a goal. Essien was again invisible. Don't know what's going on with him, but he better sort his head out quick smart.

Also thought Sinclair had some good touches and showed some good control. This is the first game of his I've actually seen something that makes me think, 'Okay...maybe this kid's got something going for him beside speed, after all'. Though the jury is still well and truly out.

I went for bridge. Thought he played really well both defensively and attacking. his link up play with Joey was great....and a bit with Kalou. It certainly gave us great attacking options down the left.

SWP's misses were glaring, but his general match performance was worthy of a nod. Ballack looked great for 60 minutes, but he will get better the more games he plays

As a fan who only began watching Chelsea this season, many times I have felt that SWP is the most sucessful player on the team in the area of using pace and talent to beat defenders and create chances. I responded to a thread this week about the most exciting player on the team, and named SWP. I was quickly informed by more experianced posters that he is a player of "below par class", with little chance of developing as a player. All of this being said, it's easy to recognize his lack of finish (The two great chances at the back post today). Belleti must being given credit for his effective cooperation with SWP on the wing. IMO SWP is the MOTM.

Belletti for me. Match saving tackle in the 68th minute. And gave us alot going forwards.

The only way Ferreria should be picked in front of Belletti is if Mr Bell is confined to a wheelchair.

Cheers for putting this up Mod,

Ended up getting tanked yesterday and so totally missed the game. Only seen the goals so can't really comment however from reading the thread on here it appears we played well for some periods but overall we didn't play well but scraped a win - only one question - were the crowd siging 'We've got our Jose back?' icon_wink.gif

Nope! but they were singing "you don't know what you're doing" - not me, I might add! (although I agree with the sentiment)
