  1. Nice post. You convinced me, Octville.
  2. Excellent point, G4. I am actually a lot more calmer than the last three seasons when I watch the games, since I now know that we have no hope to win the Premier League this season. Strange but true! being relaxed, in a perverse way, is good for me, though of course I would like to see Chelsea win every game.
  3. The true test will be to see how we fare at the end of the season. If we somehow win the Premier League, I am sure we will all not be unhappy about this outcome, but if we fall to 3rd or 4th, and lost out in the FA Cup and the Champions' League, then we will all be grumbling about this. I have my hopes that we will do well even without the Special One.
  4. I always said that Mourinho is the Hubie Brown of the Premier League. For those of you who don't know who Hubie Brown is, he is an NBA manager, who jumps from team to team, has initially great results, and wears out his welcome by year three. Sound familiar? Nothing against Jose, but it was indeed time for him to move on. To draw at home against a pathetic side like Rosenborg is just unacceptable. I will miss him a bit, but not his antics.
  5. I wanted to vote for no one, but I ended up voting for A Cole, due to his nice clearance of a cross from Luke Young that might have resulted in Villa's first goal late in the first half. SWP was OK, but that does not deserve MOM.
  6. Whenever I think of Boulderbollocks, I think of his crazy avatar on the old CSR forum. It was silly beyond belief, and made you want to laugh! I will miss his posts, and it only makes my weekend more miserable to hear about what happened to him.
  7. He did score the winning goal in the Champion's League final against Arsenal.
  8. How can you answer this poll if you don't know how much cash is needed to make the transaction acceptable?
  9. Cashley was useless, but he is the best Whiner in the Premier League. Ben Haim was very good in the 2nd half, and played well besides his one big mess-up.
  10. Malouda certainly did not dive, and it certainly was not a penalty. It was just two bodies meeting at a single point.
  11. Well, we stole a point at Anfield, and I am very happy about that. I do like seeing Pizzaro and Drogba up front.
  12. All in all, Liverpool was more likely to score than us, and they did. Lamps really does play a quiet role in midfield, but he does seem somewhat effective.
  13. You heard it from me first, SydneyChelsea -- ManU will be our biggest threat, not Liverpool.
  14. So, what does that mean? About 8 weeks out of action?
  15. I normally like Gary (?) Styles as a referee, but his granting of dubious free kicks to ManUre during injury time was making me mad as hell! Thankfully, nothing came to it, thanks to Hanneman.
  16. Too bad he is mediocre in saving penalties. Poor instincts in that regard. He needs to watch videos of Lehmann and Reina -- they seem to always guess right.
  17. Gilberto Silva did a good job as captain when Brazil won the Copa America recently.
  18. Val -- I just knew that you were either Ballack or Sheva in disguise, and now your post proves it.
  19. No Marquez???? No Puyol???? I thought Aimar had a so-so season, but I must say I only saw a few of his games the last season.
  20. Phillip replied to c3blu's topic in General Chelsea FC
I think that there are many of us who do not want to see Robben go, and I am among that group.
  21. Ah, a great movie, Brian M. My favourite part was the gang with the baseball bats and Yankee uniforms. Creepy. A modern day Odyssey.
  22. I never understood the popularity of the Simpsons, but I realize that I am in the minority on that one. Of course, I never understood the popularity of Baywatch in Europe (in the States, it was a joke during its entire run). I loved the Beavis and Butthead series, but the movie that they made at the end was dreadful. Probably killed it off for good.
