    I really enjoyed that.
I wondered if you had heard the story of the Torino-loving Priest who rang his Church bells in Turin when Barca scored first against Juve in 2015. When questioned he blamed it on a misunderstanding with his young Assistant.
Clearly a man who "works in mysterious ways"

Hoping Roman doesnt sell to this american owner. He said due process will be done and I hope part of that involves the vision for the club.

Because for every Azpi, Mendy, Silva (bargains), we have had (and continue to have) multiple overpriced failures, which0 we pay big bucks for. Baka £30m, batsman £30m, drinks £30m, the big donkey £90m+, timo £40m, kepa £70m, Baba rahman £23m, Zappacosta £23m....  not to mention those who have left us.
Then Salaries. Our top 10 players alone earns combined £2m per week. £104 mill alone in wages per year just for 10 players.

"Ukrainian film director and producer Alexander Rodnyansky confirmed the Chelsea owner's involvement in attempts to reach a peaceful resolution, but added he is unsure of the impact it will have.
"I can confirm that the Ukrainian side have been trying to find someone in Russia willing to help them in finding a peaceful resolution," said Rodnyansky.
"They are connected to Roman Abramovich through the Jewish community and reached out to him for help. Abramovich has been trying to mobilize support for a peaceful resolution ever since.
"Although Abramovich's influence is limited, he is the only one who responded and taken it upon himself to try.
"If this will have an impact or not, I don't know, but I am in contact with [Ukraine President Volodymyr] Zelensky's staff myself, and know that they are grateful for his genuine efforts."
I bet ppl will still say sh1t about him...

Maybe the likes of Lineker, Neville, Carragher and Redknapp will stfu now, prattling on about the lack of condemnation of the invasion from RA.
He is actually getting on with trying to actually end the conflict whilst those whoppers spout their sanctimonious crap on Twitter.
    Talk is cheap.

    The line now is;
But he said he wasn't linked to Putin
But he said he wasn't involved in Politics
We need to get dirty russian money out of football
I'm the last Chelsea fan to bend the knee to anyone in our club. My loyalty starts and ends with the badge. But nothing Roman can do will change some peoples opinion of him.
FYI - Still waiting for the owners of Man City to comment on the invasion.

THE REASON WHY MILAN ARE REFUSING TO PLAY BAKAYOKO
    by Apollo Heyes | Feb 20, 2022 12:19

Tiemoue Bakayoko is not having a good season with Milan and poor performances are not the only reason why he’s currently sidelined in the Lombardy capital.

The 27-year-old French midfielder has made 13 Serie A appearances this season for the Rossoneri, but only five of those games were starts and he has not featured since the 2-1 loss to Spezia last month. He has only played the full 90 minutes of a match twice this campaign, and he didn’t impress either time.
As highlighted by Rudy Galetti, one of the main reasons why Milan are not playing Bakayoko is because the conditional obligation to buy clause attached to his loan deal is linked to the number of appearances made.
The Frenchman joined the Rossoneri from Chelsea last summer in a €2m loan deal, with the conditional obligation to buy clause set at around €15-20m. The Milanese club have no intention of making his stay permanent, and so it’s unlikely he’ll receive regular playing time now under Stefano Pioli.

This kind of fine doesn't sit well with me. If Champions League rules don't have this written in I think it is illegal. I wouldn't pay it.
The sum is not big for Chelsea but the reason it is given for is these 8 clubs 'scared' everyone in the football world. In the end nothing happened. We just scared them. Is there a such fine? One of the reasons someone like UEFA and FIFA need a proper scare. They just make rules as they go and feel is good for them and their business.
