oh dear....yes we won the league - it was an extraordinary achievement given our roster. Did you even read what Samuel had to say? What part of what Samuel had to say do you disagree with? You don't say.

Samuel is of course right in his observations. We managed to win the title last year with a roster that simply does not compare to the rosters we had in 04/05/06 or 09/10. Given the rosters of City & Le Arse last year which were quite measurably stronger than ours both those teams under-achieved last year whereas we over-achieved. It's as simple as that. And yet there is a chorus of posters on this site who either don't have the intelligence to recognise this and/or the honesty to do so or, because of their sheer dislike of Jose as a man, continue to prattle on ad infinitum about how this team's fall from grace is all down to Jose.

No not at all. I think that regardless of inheritance, the roster that Carlo had to work with was far better than our present roster. Most of us observed from January to date that often Jose has looked out of sorts during games. My take on that is that he realized that some of our players are just not good enough & the added element this season is that some of our players look decidedly old & lethargic as well.

mmmm...well I just don't think it's in his nature to be humble abra. No that's not true, I've witnessed moments of humility in Jose. Perhaps it's more true to say that he can't help being cheeky and/or hiding his true feelings. He's a passionate manager. So was Ferguson & so was Clough. I don't really know where any of these reflections take us though. I mentioned the roster that Carlo had at his disposal. You've not commented on that though. Why is that?
