Tottenham vs. Chelsea (PL) 29/11/15 KO: 12:00 BST

Featured Replies

Very early match. Tottenham are coming off a resounding victory against West Ham, Kane has been in good form, and their team looks to be clicking.

Tottenham are playing away to Qarabag on Thursday (that's in Azerbaijain in Asia, nearly half way across the world!!!) then they play us 3-days later. There really should be no excuses about tiredness from us given that they're traveling further than us.

JT looks to be out, but Cahill and Zouma will give us perhaps a pacier back-line that hopefully doesn't get stretched as much. Wouldn't mind seeing Kenedy at left-back again. Matic, Fabregas, and Costa have been struggling lately even against Tel-Aviv but we really don't have anyone better so I can't see them getting dropped.

                  Begovic
Azpi -- Zouma -- Cahill -- Kenedy
          Matic -- Fabregas
      Ramires -- Oscar -- Hazard
                  Costa

They play on Thursday and will be back on early Friday. They are tired.

This is match of the season for us. If we win we are back.

Baba has proven superior to Kenedy at left back. No matter how well Kenedy played last game Baba proved today why we bought him. Still some work to do on his defensive traits, but Kenedy should not displace Baba ever again.

Would like to see us use the width of our fullbacks, and then shore up the middle with the likes of Matic and either Ramires of Mikel.

I'd also rather see Remy start

At least now the team could relax and rest up for a few days and let Spurs do the around the Europe trip. Costa needs to be dropped, it's crystal clear to all. We need to win this, and I'm confident we will if we manage to put away chances before they score.

We are kidding ourselves if we think anyone other than brana and Azpi start at full back for this.

Tottenham worry me but not half as much as the fact this games broadcast on f*cking BT sport. Absolute torture listening to their commentary is. It's like it's part of the package that at some point if there is more than one black player on the pitch they will be mistaken for the other. Genuinely awful commentary this might be an occasion where despite having the coverage on tv I might consider finding an American stream. It sounds finicky but it really is that bad.

Well...at least Chelsea have nerfed any expectations I had this season...so a loss won't be nearly as upsetting.

Kenedy isn't a left back. He isn't a defender at all.

Undecided on this one, always looked forward to spud bashing. Could go either way, if only we had an inform striker would feel more confident.

I never claimed he was. I'm just saying Baba needs to play at left back, while Kenedy can displace a winger if needs be. I would place him above Pedro at the moment.

You stated the obvious. Of course a left back is better at LB than an attacking midfielder ;) Against Norwich Kenedy played there for tactical flexibility. Depending on their line-up we could have shifted easily to three at the back with Kenedy playing wing back.

We'll lose. Spurs are playing brilliantly right now.

Hopefully Hazard, (if he turns up), will get fouled repeatedly near their box allowing Willian to pepper their goal with free kicks all match.

I think Kenedy was played there primarily because a) Baba and Azpi played international games and Baba especially was back to Britain pretty late; b) the key game was Haccabi so they were rested; c) Mourinho rightfully noticed that Norwich does not have strong wings, so he could take a risk with Ivanovic and Kenedy.

You've been saying we'll lose in nearly every match day thread this season.

Now that's woeful.

Would like to see Dave and Baba continue in the fullback positions.

We looked a lot better with the natural width they provided.

That said I fully expect Ivanovic to start.

They are playing well. I'd probably take the draw now.

That is possibly the first time I have ever had this view about a game against Spurs.

What a f**ked up season this has been so far.

Ivanovic can't be playing this imo, they skinned him last season, he's only just come back, and spuds are just clicking into form.

on current form the spuds have to be big favs for this, can not see us keeping them out for 10 mins let alone 90 !! we have the players to hurt them though, lets hope the spuds are a tad over confident

That's a new one on me - googled and will try to introduce it to my vocabulary!  Thanks.
