Positional awareness can be taught. Yes there are players that have natural high awareness however you can drill patterns of play into a group of players. 
Technical abillity : while there are some players like Cahill, moses and Bakayoko who do indeed lack the technical abillity to play sarri ball the majority of our squad has solid technical abillity. Azpi, Rudiger, Christensen, Emerson, Kante, Fabregas, Hazard, Willian, Pedro, Morata, Giroud. All of them have at hte very least a solid base to build upon. 
Relentless pressing : Again this is something that can be taught and more importantly the players need to be told to do it. Last season we pressed a lot, this season Conte seemed reluctant to tell the players to press. 
 
There's seems to be this notion that Napoli were this amazing high positional awareness, high technical, crazy energy team before Sarri came along. They weren't at all. Sarri made this team what they are today. 
Napoli weren't these group of amazing players before Sarri got his hands on them. Like seriously 3 years ago how many Napoli players would people have considered great players and capable of playing this type of football ?

There is always Zouma to come back as well.

not too bothered about Llorente, gives Mitchy a chance to play some games and hopefully keeps him sharp
 

Maybe Kante intercepted his flight to Barcelona.

If we get Zappacosta, Drinkwater and maybe Llorente then its a good deadline day, and adds some depth to the squad.

I won't believe the Zappacosta deal until I see him in a Liverpool shirt.

Watching the Bournemoth Watford game and both Chalobah and AKe are playing well. 
Cannot understand how in a season where we will play over 50 games and we are back in the CL no one was able to convince these players tgat they will get games.

clubs now know that this far in to the market clubs start getting desperate, they know who our targets were and did not get them and now we are going for our second choices which leave the selling clubs in a position to ask for stupid money.
Conte will have given the board a list of players at the end of last season and they should have gone after them straight away and quietly.

That's garbage IMO. Torres has always spoke well of us when with us and when he left. He regularly tweets when we do well and such.

Hello everyone! Unfortunately with a new baby i have not had much fre time to come on the site, but luckily i have been able to watch a few games.
 
first of all i would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a fantadtic new year, with us winning the league ;)
i would like to make a comment on Conte.  I wasnt 100% sold on him when we got him in the summer, but i am happy to admit that i was completely wrong, the guy is world class.
not only are the players and the entire squad looking like world beaters, not only is our bench made up mostly of players brought through our youth system but he seems to be an absolute gentleman.
i will always be grateful for JM first stint at the club as it really made us a force to deal with, but now when you hear Antonio and Jose talk in press conferences or after games i know we have the right guy in place.
would love us to sign Naingolan with the Oscar money this transfer market and i am really looking forward to seeing what Conte can do with this squad.

Arrogant, poisonous and no doubt one of the players who went against Jose.
We sold a club legend to accommodate him, we got rid of one of the best goalkeeping coaches in the world because he didn't like him and we even allowed him to play against us in the Champions League semi final despite being OUR player. The writing should have been on the wall then when we let that happen...
He is modern football personified. The hilarious thing is he's no better than Keylor Navas and he's definietly not better than Jan Oblak so his dream of possibly moving to Real Madrid or Atletico won't be happening anytime soon unless Atleti are happy with a swap deal which I'd be very happy with.
Prick of the highest order and I hope we get rid of him, sorry everyone.

I follow Roma and Naingolan is a fantastic player, he never stops running, his passing is excellent, I think he has 20 assists this season, he is great at breaking down opposition attacks.
I don't see Fabregas being sold this summer so there would be no point buying Pjanic, but Naingolan would be an excellent buy.

He's been a lot better in recent times, mainly because he's been moved back to CB, but his positioning still isn't great and he's getting caught out a lot. It wasn't just 2 months of the season that he was bad, it was more like 5 months. We still aren't keeping clean sheet's and Ivanovic is one of the reason's why.
 
I don't see how you can say he is a scapegoat, it's not like he is the only one getting criticism this season. Matic, Hazard, Oscar, Fabregas, Costa, Cahill, they have all received the same criticism this season at certain times.

He's a tenacious little fighter with a massive engine. I'm not sure you could design a player who is more suited for this league on paper, but nothing's a certainty.

I still think he is the best CB at the club, yes he is getting older and he was never the quickest but his defensive reading of the game had been excellent for a number of years now.
I would still give him a new contract, I am sure he knows he would not be guaranteed a starting role but he would be anexcellent squad player for a couple more years and his experience and knowledge of the club would be integral in helping new players adapt.
I honestly believe there has been a split in the camp with JM and JT would have been one of the few that would have stood with Jose.
I just feel that we have lost too many players that were part of what CFC was and we have not replaced them, Cech, Lamps, Essien, JT, Drogba, we now have players that would hand in a transfer request at the drop of a hat

I feel that as much as JM has to shoulder some of the blame for this season he was massively let down by the board in the summer.
You have a manager that wins you the league but then you dont spend any money to reinforce the squad even though he asked.
That is a huge f**k up by the board.
Now if JM (and i believe he did), goes to the board with a list of players to buy and those in charge of buying those players fail to land a single one then they should be fired.
I dont believe for one second that JM agreed to selling Cech to arsenal, to buy Baba, Djilibodi and Falcao.
There is no way in hell that these last 3 players would ever be in contention to challenge for a starting spot.
The board f**ked it up and its not the first time.
As much as i loved Shevchenko to buy him at the end of his peak and expect him to play, especially when the manager had other ideas is such an example.
If Pep comes, he will have a list of players and we better get them because he will not stick around long if we dont.
Time for Roman to get a winning manager and let them do what they have to to win, Emenalo and the rest of the board get the players and then sit back and let the manager do his thing.
I wonder if we had bought a top level cb, a mf and a striker would we be in the bottom half of the table? Probably not
