I think at this stage most people would take just about anyone if it meant FSW leaving. That being said, how many top class managers can we realistically go through in such a short period of time? Eventually Roman is going to realise that there is no-one left better than whoever is in charge at the time, that would want to come here, and he'll have to keep the manager on.

I'd be pretty pissed off if we spent money on Walcott, especially if Sturridge left at the same time. Fellaini would only be worth it depending on the price tag. As someone said above, 30m is way, way more than he is worth. Keeping in mind that City got Yaya for 24m. I'd be delighted if we brought in Falcao though.

I wonder if we'll one day see Drogs Jr. pulling on the blue kit.

I think theres a few teams missing on the poll, but out of them my order of who I'd like to win it: Real Madrid (piss off Barca & Jose will likely leave if they do) Dortmund (quality young team & manager) Juventus (respect the way they've come back & makes our group stage exit less laughable) Bayern Munich (feel a bit bad about all those finals they've lost) PSG (Don't really like them but I can get behind Carlo & Alex) Celtic (Nothing against them, would be a massive upset) Teams I don't want to see win it: Shaktar (After that scummy goal against Nordsjaelland they really do not deserve it) Arsenal (Theres only one team in London) Man Utd (For obvious reasons, they can f**k right off) Barca (If they win i'll be downright pissed off, if they never win another CL, at least in this generation of players, I can die a happy man)

On numerous news sites they're publishing that Pep has stated that he would prefer the Arsenal job if he comes to the EPL, over the likes of Chelsea/United/City. Will be interesting to see what Roman thinks about this and whether he's still his preferred choice at the end of the season. Of course it all also depends on how Arsenal do this season, but right now a top 4 spot is no certainty and that will be the make or break aspect of their season. Personally I see this as a possible blessing in disguise, if Pep does go to Arsenal then it greatly increases the chances of Jose coming back. On the downside, it could also increase the chances of the FSW staying on if he knows he can't replace him with Pep, and we end up having a strong finish to the season. Do you think Arsenal would dump Arsene for Pep at the end of the season? Would he be a success there? Would it be good or bad (for us) if Pep were to go there?

Reading this topic, then reading all the drivel my barcelona mates post in our university football group page about the semi final last season, revenge is so, so sweet :D

Well excited about the prospect of becoming "World Champions", that should shut up my scouse friends once and for all about their 5 bloody european cups. Interestingly enough, Liverpool lost all 3 CWC/Intercontinental finals they appeared in, and declined to participate in the other 2.

Hazard for me, scored the third goal in all but name, and glided past 2-3 players at a time with ease. Mata and Torres 2nd and 3rd.

Aside from a few important goals against the like of City and Benfica, all I can think of when i think of his time here was that half the passes he played went straight to the opposition, I thought he was quite frustrating and was a bit of a panic buy. Defended well in those CL games though.

1 good game against a team from mexico and people are calling him the next big thing in central midfield, keeping in mind he had virtually no defensive responsibilities in this game, the biggest problem i'm predicting is his lack of positioning and discipline to not leave our CB's exposed.

I thought he looked a bit off the pace in the CWC semi final when he came on, but hopefully that will improve once he gets more game time again, he's barely played all season.

From what i've seen KDB plays in a more attacking role, the other two are unproven at the top level so relying on them without a plan b is pretty reckless. And regardless of whether Romeu going back to Barca next season would be a good deal, if he does leave it means we once again have no centre midfielders, also consider the fact that Lampards contract expires at the end of the season. Dunno why you're acting like the suggestion of buying a new midfielder when our best midfielder of the past decade is most likely going at the end of the season is so ridiculous.

Wasn't at all impressed by him in the games last season, was nonexistent by comparison to Cavani and Lavezzi. Now Lavezzi, thats a player I would have liked to see in a Chelsea shirt, great player.

Finally a game suitable to my timezone (Australia) and I end up scheduling a date the starts at K.O. I suppose if we coincidentally pass by the pub we could stay and have a drink for 2 hours...

It's not just the month Mikel is away, it's a) The fact Mikel isn't really good enough and b) The fact that ramires and mikel have had to start nearly every single game in those 2 holding roles with only romeu as cover How can you think we have good depth there that we have to start a substandard player with a 19 year old with a tiny release clause to go back to barca as back up?
