If Drogs return is the catalyst for Torres leaving then this could well prove to be a masterstroke :0) !!! However, if this signing results in Lukaku leaving then it will be a total disaster, IMO ... Torres is well Torrid ... and Drogs, like Lamps is well past his best ... no plan B ...

If Drogba returns this should be the pecking order ... However, because we are stuck with Torrid I suspect the casualty may possibly be Lukaku leaving? Which would be a disaster IMO ... hope I'm totally wrong tho' ... Torres seems to always remain because he's unshift-able ... which has a major detrimental impact on the Team.

In European games, maybe still yes ... but the premiership defences had Drogba pretty much sussed during his final years with us, IMO ... it was definitely the right time to go. Coach yes, player no for me ...

Totally agree, Torres, apart from just a handful of games, literally has to be the worst Chelsea buy ever!

Not for me ... he's a good player but too old, little or no re-sale value and too much money ... a short sighted quick fix ... in a few years time I suspect we will be looking for a longer term replacement ... FFP is being overlooked for this transfer and we have to be very careful because we definitely have other positions still to fill.

I think our attack will definitely benefit from his presence this coming season, if we can keep him ... I wouldn't want to be going into the new season with Torres still in contention tbh.

NO ... no shirt numbers should be retired ... eventually another legend wearing that number will step up to the plate ...

During my time following the blues I've only ever bought 3 x shirts and worn them occasionally, at games ... The 1978-81 yellow/green trimmings away shirt which looked nice with crew cut, docs, etc. The '83 home kit was worn everywhere by the Chelsea hordes, that season. And the 1990 red/white diamond away shirt which was popular to wear, at that time ... And that's it ... I never put anything on the back of 'em. From memory (early 80's?), when travelling away Chelsea blue coloured polo's with discreet badges always looked the biz to me ...

Unfortunately, I just can't see how we can offload him due to his ridiculous wages ... Torres knows this is his final financial hooray and will simply do a Bogarde. Therefore, this totally unsatisfactory & nightmarish situation may just continue for another 2 YEARS! 2 more years of this !!! Nope, it's not wrong ... He's been the biggest waste of money in prem history and has destabilised this club since his arrival and has been directly or in-directly responsible for seeing some good real chelsea people leaving ...
