  1. I think Man City definitely have the stronger squad. Yesterday, they won comfortably despite the absence of **Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic & Kompany**. And still their bench looks v. impressive, including Lamps. Our first 11 match them, however, our depth is not as good IMHO. However, so far this season it's been as good as it gets for us ... an incredible run ...
  2. Not at all ... nothing would give me greater pleasure than to be totally wrong. I thought that was an awesome display from our Team last night, against perhaps the Premiership bullies ... As most have said on this thread, very sensibly ... It's a long way to go ...
  3. I was thinking the same. HT 0-0 ... Lamps comes on and breaks the deadlock ... hmmm ... hope not.
  4. Next cluster of games should be interesting. My predictions are as follows ... Manchester City: Palace H = W2-1 West Brom A = W1-0 Burnley H = W2-0 Sunderland H = W2-1 Chelsea: Stoke A = D1-1 West Ham H = W1-0 Southampton A = W3-1 Spurs A = D1-1 I think without doubt City have the easier fixtures, on paper. Man City = 48 points Chelsea = 47 points
  5. I hoped we would win 2-0 & the Team delivered so I'm really, really pleased ... I also think we will pip Derby mid-week too ... However, I now feel there's an air of inevitability regarding City catching us up ... and tragically Lamps is playing a significant part ... I hope I'm wrong but I can't see our away form being as convincing as City's now is ... I think we may drop points against either Stoke or West Ham, possibly both? I just hope City, with arguably the easier fixtures somehow also do.
  6. Yep, agree with your thoughts above ... Other observations from tonight: I think Zouma's starting to look the part ... Costa's losing his mojo, a little ... RLC looks a really good prospect ... Salah, still not convinced?
  7. Despite losing ... great day out ...
  8. One of our rare wins that season ... but really lifted the spirits
  9. The good 'ol days ...
  10. I think City will catch us ... Stoke away ... West Ham home ... Both looking tough ... Man Utd will continue to gradually improve ... Exciting times ahead ...
  11. I think one advantage City have over us is that they are a squad containing a high % of bullies. A style 'still' more suited to the Prem. methinks. They definitely throw their weight around and should be down to 10 men most games if ref'ed correctly. Unlike us, opposition teams are definitely scared of 'em. Unfortunately, this may ultimately be the significant factor? ... hope I'm wrong ...
  12. I think City should definitely catch us and then we shall see ... I think our fixtures were more favourable than City's up to December ... But the end of this month will even things out ... I still believe City have the best overall squad in the Prem. However, we have the best Manager. Maybe a single quality purchase during the January window, if the right player becomes available will make the difference for us? I do think we will get back on track with our next 3 fixtures tho' ... Sporting, Hull and Derby. Stoke away will be v. tough ...
  13. They have only lost once away this season ... to Man City ... Therefore, predicting a score draw ... c'on Chels ... should be a cracking game ... !!!
  14. Home vs Spurs W 2-0 Away vs Newcastle L 0-2 Home vs Sporting (CL) D 0-0 Home vs Hull W 2-0 Away vs Derby (COC) W 2-1 Away vs Stoke D 1-1 Home vs West Ham (Boxing day) W 1-0 Away vs Southampton W 3-1 Away vs Spurs (New years day) D 1-1
  15. For me, the John Neal years following the Blues were definitely some of the very best ... thanks to a great Manager ... RIP John Neal ... you gave us some wonderful memories ...
  16. I think this will be a good game ... 1-1 is my prediction ... looking forward to this one.
  17. Liverpool West Ham Spurs Leeds
  18. Beating Liverpool has become ***THE*** most satisfying result of the season ... due to the obvious ... Totally 110% satisfying ... 😆😆😆😋😋😋😃😃😃😄😄😄😊😊😊☺ï¸â˜ºï¸â˜ºï¸ðŸ˜‰ðŸ˜‰ðŸ˜‰ðŸ˜œðŸ˜œðŸ˜œðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜˜ðŸ˜˜ðŸ˜˜âœŒï¸âœŒï¸âœŒï¸ðŸ‘ŒðŸ‘ŒðŸ‘ŒðŸ‘ðŸ‘👠... Just Wonderful !!!
  19. Poor yet again ...
  20. How did we not win that ??? ... really enjoyable game ... just one of those nights ...
  21. Although they have been pretty poor, so far this season their fans will demand they raise their game considerably against us ... Brendon knows this and it's self preservation on his part ... it's going to be like a cup final to them ... this is why beating a liverpool team, in recent years has given us so much pleasure ... it will be tough ... I'd take a draw ...
  22. The ***insane jealousy*** that Liverpool fans showed towards us once we started winning things was definitely the catalyst ... More so than any other Club ... now we hate them back ...
  23. The win that I want the very most ... however, have a feeling this may be another 1-1 ... ???
