bluegraham
No your right we are hated the media have never like chelsea since ken bates. ken used to sue the papers more times for them speaking rubbish about the club and winning. then when roman took over they done everything to try dig up sum dirt on him but failed. this is terrible for football is what they said when he took over not much said about man citys new owners. stevie gerrard attacks sumone in a bar f**k all said about that lampard leaves hes girlfriend sumthing that happens everyday hes called scum on the radio. Drogba swears down the lence off a camera thats terrible the say hes meant to b a role model for kids but beating up sumone in the bar thats fine. might be because where in the richest part of london and there jealous. i fined it hard to put it in 2 words there is so many reasons. but f**k em all as the song goes. BlueBosnian
I just love it when liverscum calls us "rent boys" and fans that are there just for the success, and then they go on and sing "18 trophies, 5 Euro Cups, that's what we call history". Very ironic.

PloKoon13
Mmm, that's what I don't get. Chelsea fans are labelled 'glory hunters', but for most of our young fans, we hadn't won anything since 1971 when we started supporting Chelsea. Anyway, I did some 'research' on the most hated club, and it turns out it's Tottenham: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage....;topic=48399679
Guest bigjockknew
Of course everyone hates us - sheer jealousy and sour grapes. Your team picks you and you don't pick your team. We might not be as successful on paper as other clubs but our style, sophistication, pride, strength and unity puts us miles ahead of ANY club. How would you feel HAVING to support the Scum or the Mancs when you know there is a far superior quality available but because of your scummy birth then you can't. We are the people in every respect so its no wonder other peoples jealousy spills over. It would be like being married to Vicky Pollard when you know Katherine Jenkins could have been yours. Birth! There's such a thing as a mind of your own, Big Jock. I was born and bred in Greater Manchester and have supported the Chels for 40 years now. I'm afraid I've never held with this birth thing. It all smacks of Jingoism to me - never a good thing.

Good for you Lady Diehard, thats what makes Chelsea supporters. Birth reference was more directed to cultural and social backgrounds rather than geographical locations. Certainly the experience I have is that generally Chelsea fans are that because they want to be and Liverpool/Manure fans are that because they have to be
Gem
Hmm... Used to be Leeds... but now the Scum have firmly taken over. 1. Liverpool 2. Leeds 3. Tottenham 4. Arsenal The Mancs don't even register... Dunno... maybe because I have some respect for what they've done, but none for any of the above.
Phillip
Seems like Premier League referees agree with you, Gem, since ManU always seems to have the calls go there way. Probably out of respect. Without that, it would probably be neck-and-neck between us and Liverpool for the league title.

clubhappy
You should try living in Ireland , a country where Celtic are regarded as a huge part of our heritage[by Celtic fans ] and mainly supported by wannabee IRA supporters who think were still at war with Britian, although they choose Liverpool[A british team ] and Man Utd[A british team] as their second team . Im confused . Chelsea are regarded[by Celtic fans ] as the enemy of the state because of their Britishness and our links to anything English is deemed unacceptable in a country opressed by an empire responsible for .... well ask them, im too young to give a f**k. Other fans hate us because of our recent success and Romans money . Drogba and Robben have not exactly won us points in popularity contests down the years and we've , me included, been accused of jumping on a bandwagon. Ireland is very territoril when it comes to football teams , it was always accepted to be either Liverpool or Man Yoo or Celtic , any intruders were classed as aliens and during the 80's and early 90's , Dublin was totally the above 3 . I cant speak for any other city but our arrival, money or no money was a kick in the balls for a lot of fans here and J.M. was something they werent ready for . After 6 months he was the enemy , an arogant c**t who disrespected their history and gatecrashed their party . It was a time to choose another enemy and the journalsist had a field day . We are now the most hated team in Britain because , according to them, we played route 1 football . and had the f**kin cheek to even win the premiership. mad_mac
Ian, I think a lot of Irish fans like Liverpool because of the amount of Irish the town employed during ship biulding times (same as in Glasgow). And Man U were liked for the club being owned by a pair of Irishmen, not sure if Manchester didn't also employe some Irish too? But having said that, I love your analogy
NorthernCFC
I live in Lancashire, so the vast majority are Dippers or Man Ure "armchair fans". There's a few Chelsea and Arsenal up here but mostly United and Liverpool. The stick Chelsea in particular get off these morons is unbelieveable. No history, sh** fans, soft southern ****, boring football. I have to say that the United fans can be as bad if not worse than the scousers, but I hate Liverpool a lot more. I think at the end of the day, they don't like the fact the club went through a big rough patch, and then has popped up to be one of the best sides in the world. Scousers in particular absolutely despise that we have won the premier league and they ain't! It's ace! And for those United fans that say we have poor fans, I ask them how many times they've been to OT, only to discover I've been more times watchin the Chelsea - muppets. :D
