If you could pick one Chelsea game.....

Featured Replies

.....to have been at.

Talking to a fella the other night about games you really wish you had been at. There live. In the flesh. Watching history. Going mental.

What's your pick?

Mine. The 1970 FA Cup Final replay, It always makes my spine tingle when I watch it on DVD.

I was lucky enough to have been at that one, the atmosphere was something else.

One Chelsea game I wish I'd been but wasn't? Spurs away, 67/68 - mayhem on the terraces. Unfortunately I was only 10 at the time and living in Cornwall, life is a sh*t.

97 FA cup vs Liverpool at SB

Yep, same here ,stil watch it over and over on dvd.

Last seasons CL win over the filth @ the Bridge.

Chelsea v Man yoo the day we won the league.

If we totally suspend belief and can pick games from before we were born then I would pick the 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday which clinched the 1955 title.

If we are restricting it to games we could have actually attended then I would pick the 5-0 thunping of Leedswhich clinched our return to the first division at the end of the 83/84 season.

probably the arsenal game in the champions league when bridge scored the winner. it must have been incredible to be in that corner as the players ran towards you.

Difficuly question. I would like to have been there when we beat Barcelona 4-2 and kicked them out of the Champions League. On the other hand I would really have liked to be there when we won a title so maybe us beating Arsenal 2-1 and Drogba scoring both(?) goals.

It was one of those days you just dont forget, its a complete blur for me, I was only 16, missed the last train home, slept in the toilets at Paddington all night.

The first ever game against Stockport, because i would love to have been with Chelsea from the very beginning

But that would make you 104 years old, almost as old as BlueBeard !

Scrubbing the stockport/shef wed games(for obvious reasons), and the 1970 cup final replay(which by the way my dad was at, so i was probably swimming around in his testicles) i was lucky enough to be at everyover game being mentioned except 1, including the Leeds game when i was just a boy and we all got on the pitch afterwards. I remember picking up a huge divot of turf and bringing it out of the ground with me only for my dad to tell me to chuck it away during the car journey home and i cried, like i said i was only young.

First ever Wembley game against Man C in full members cup was a great experience and the only time i went to Wembley with terracing but by far the best was my first ever major trophy in 1997. Anybody there will never forget it, even the players were stunned.

The 1 game i mentioned i missed, 1 of my/our biggest regrets....the big 1. Can you believe we was on a family holiday during that Bolton away game. Me my dad and bro watching it on TV, wives and girlfriends doing whatever while we were going beserk.

Never, ever thought we'd see it happen and although overjoyed it had We was all twinged with the regret that we was'nt there in person to see it. Gutted, but we were there in spirit and there for lifting of the trophy and the parade so we made up for it then. All great memories though of all those games being mentioned, was that Leeds game really 25yrs ago......sh*t where did that go.

Wished I could've gone to Bolton away 2005 to see us wrap up the tittle.

Also the 4-2 game against Barca is high on that list.

Guus Hiddink's last homegame last season. Would've joined in on the 'we want him to stay' song
