Another sad departure this year was Greg Lake, mostly remembered for his work with Emmerson (RIP also) Lake and Palmer, but also a founder with Robert Fripp of King Crimson. Lake played with Crimson as a bassist, vocalist and writer for two albums - In the Court of the Crimson King and In the The Wake of the Poseidon - before leaving to join E.L.P.
