Lofty's Wall of Sound - What are you listening to?

Mikstaw...have you borrowed my ipod?

I just looked at your last two posts in this thread, I have played both of those in the last couple days. :)

Really blow away by the new White Lies album. Completlely unexpectedly too.

Certainly the best ive heard so far yet from the 'Joy Division tribute' club of bands like Interpol, Editors and Stellastarr. And i love Interpol too.

Prefer the original Stooges version, but not too bad. I read somewhere that Manitoba is frontman for MC5 now, another of those early proto-punk bands. Anyone know if they've done anything new worth listening too?

I like The Stooges and The Dictators versions equally, they're both f*ckin' brilliant. I've still got the original 12" single of the Dictators version, surprised it's not worn out by now.

I didn't know that Manitoba had joined the MC5, so I had a look around YouTube and found this...

Some earlier MC5 stuff from 1970...

And a track from a very under-rated band...

To get maximum enjoyment from these tracks, PLAY LOUD
