f**k me everytime i flick over to sky sports news they say 'arsenal go top above Chelsea' cant get away from it. Facebook full of Arse and dippers celebrating as well. Dont hear a whisper out of them all season. Apparently tonight is a defining night in the title race. Why have the prem stitched us up and why couldnt we play Hull tonight? Our season will be a lot clearer in the next few wks. Preston away on Sat, brum home next weds, burnley away 30th, Hull away 2nd, arse home 7th, fa cup maybe 13th. Just seen arse highlights. 2nd goal Gallas went over the ball on mark davis. Ref waved play on and le scum scored. Davis stretchered off. They asked wenger he said nothin in it and if they want he'll show video's of poor challenges on his players. What a f**kin c**t. Judas Gallas could have ended the lads career. If he'd had been sent off it could have been a different result. Sky just showed lge table sayin 'arsenal level with Chelsea but top on goals scored'(didnt mention game in hand) then said 'bolton still in bottom 3 but with a game in hand on others'. All season they've been bangin on about le scum havin a game in hand all season but as soon as we have one they hardly mention it. Rant over ::clap2::. I know its sad but i cant help but notice these things lol. Seriously tho i am sick of us hardly gettin any cred. The result on saturday seems to have been ignored all wk. Even over the wkend it was put down as Sunderland being poor and not us amazing. If it had been anyone else... Well ya know what would have happened.

::clap2:: lol i totally get where ur comin from its just sweet to hav someone else havin a word lol i do get hoarse a fair bit givin my opinions but it has to be done we arent liked see we are going against all the vankers wrigglies gittitez they were all geared up for us to downfall proper this season !! but it aint happenin so they is pist big time . the game against sunderland was great but bcoz sunderland arent a top club then we wasted our time playin coz we aint gettin no reignition for it till the table is shown lol i kno ur goin off on one im always the same christ im a footy fanatic but dont mention "internationals" argggggggggggghhhhhhh f**kin things cant stand them f**kin up our players oh f**k it i aint even gonna touch down on it lol ;)

Everything you've said is true. I'm pretty sure everyone on the board shares you're thoughts, I certainly do. I just hope Carlo and JT have the boys in at Cobham tomorrow morning ranting about the same thing. Can't wait for them to come to the Bridge now in three weekends so we can really give it to them and put them back where they belong.

it is tough to listen to some people on TV not give us the plaudits we feel we desrve, but don't let them get you down! True, when Man U went top earlier in the season, they were all over it. We go top and get met with "Chelsea Top, for the time being!" They'd also hammer home that Arsenal had the game in hand, but now no mention that we do!

However, Hansen did say that the 7-2 was some of the best football he'd seen in the permiership! So they're not all bad! However, it is a worry when Hansen seems to be the one talking sense.

There are many in the press that love arsenal, and many in the press that seem to hate us. F**k em all1

how about this for defining, arsenals next 4 matches, Villa, man u, us then liverpool. That should sort out the league table a bit and give us some breathing space back at the top. Glad you raised that point about the 7-2 win, all articles about it highlight sunderlands deficiency's and none seem to ponder that our spectacular play could have been the reason for that. Can you imagine the headlines if arsenal won by that much?

Time to put birminghams unbeaten run to the sword and get back to the summit

Actually it's times like this I wish Jose was still manager so I could listen to him say the exact same things as we've been saying in his next press conference. It was always good to listen to him put the journo's in their place.

very big run of games for arsenal coming up. If they get through that lot with maximum points, then they have gotten a load of tough games out the way in a short period of time, and would surely look good to take it all!

However, I don't think they will get maximum points out of that lot!

There are two teams it seems the press are desperate to win the League more than any other...liverscum cos of their hiiistory and Arsehole because they supposedly define total football - forget Brazil 1970 -

obviously the former are out of it, but you just get this feeling of desperation from the journos that all their hopes are with the arse...already mentioned on here is a nauseating column from mathhew syed at the times...here's paul Heyward's match report in the guardian...just 16 games to go he says...just desparate

Envy is an ugly beast, sadly, being # 1....its just something we will have to get used too!

However this way atleast the lads will feel they haev a point to prove as opposed to having the emdia lumps load of pressure/expectations on them

Which is actually kind of weird, because a lot of pundits have been saying Chelsea is the team to beat....yet they go on such as you described.....they arent a terribley intelligent lot are they?

Arsenal fans are basically celebrating that it snowed more in Hull then London on a Saturday a few weeks back. No worries I'd rather have a game in hand then a lead based on goal difference.

The media is simply exaggerating like they always so. Same as they were foolish to proclaim us champions when we beat Arsenal earlier in the season.

As has been pointed out, nobody in the media is talking about the fact that we have a game in hand, nor the fact that our next month is considerably easier than theirs - it's all just a case of "yay, someone different than Chelsea are at the top for a while and, however brief it is we're gonna make a big deal of it"

Also, I've never understood deciding league positions when goal difference is equal by the number of goals scored, as that surely means you've conceded more than the other team. Maybe it's just me (or because it's something we seem to be quite good at), but I would say that conceding fewer goals is more the sign of a good team than scoring more goals...*shrug* either way, the Arse won't win the league - they're just too inconsistent

I can see what you're saying but surely football is all about putting the ball in the back of the net? The majority of fans go to a game because they want to see goals, so you have to reward a team for scoring more as opposed to not conceding.

If it was an International tournament we would still be top, if teams are level on points they go to 'goal difference', if theyre still level they use the result from the match between the to two teams in question, weve beaten Le Arse, so we would be top, i think its a fairer way of doing it as your not rewarding attacking teams or defensive teams.

We could end up thumping Le Arse home and away, and it wouldnt count for anything if it came down to the wire.

football is as much about defending as it is attacking to me, i enjoy a good defensive showing as much as good attacking play. maybe thats because ive been a defender all my life, but it bugs me how people seem to equate good defending to horrible football.

I know what you're saying but as good as the art of defending can be, GOALS are what football is all about. With no goals football would soon become pretty f**king meaningless!

and there will be no ban for Gallas apparently. What a complete joke the review system is.

i wonder if sky news have been showing the tackle every 7 minutes and saying there should be a massive ban? no, how strange. im sure i remember them hounding essien after a very similar tackle.

How does it work in the Prem? Because I don't get how they are on top of us, we have the same goal differential, more wins and we won the head-to-heads, they only have more goals then us.

I say let them enjoy and relish their time at the top. Just like 2 years ago, its all gonna come crashing down in the next few weeks for them.

In a month they will have Villa, the Mancs, ourselves and Liverpool to play. If they fall to pieces like they have in the past, it will be all the sweeter

Every football league in the world uses number of points gained as the way to rank teams in a table. Everyone seems to agree that that’s definitely the way to go, and football is all the better for it.

But not everyone agrees on how to split teams that finish level on points. There are various methods used in various orders of preference by various soccer leagues. Goal difference, goals scored, head to head record, games won, a specially arranged playoff. Tossing a coin and drawing lots even comes into it, when things get desperate.

Here’s a(n incomplete list) of which football leagues use which tie-breakers (and in which order) when two or more teams finish level on points.

Its always been the same. Its often said its because of Abramovic's money that people hate us. but back in the seventies when the club nearly went bankrupt people hated us.

Then in the eighties, especially with the hooligan problem, they hated us.

They hated us in the 90's because of our policy of recruiting mostly foreign players.

They hated us in the noughties because of Roman and that we had the best team.

They hate us now because they are jealous.

Like Mad Mac quite rightly says 'F**k 'em all!'
