Sorry if this thread has been done, but just for fun...who do u think Chelsea will sign this summer?... if anyone

Il start it off

Shweinsteiger - Long convo with Lamps afterwards, a player that Carlo actually wants, some guy with good knowledge said so in another thread :P

Sergio Ramos - Real shuld buy Maicon, news is we will triple his salary...however will he leave spain?

Benayoun - Probably the msot probable transfer, rumours are he is having a medical soon

Aguerro, Hamsik, and Villa

Although I doubt we'll get all of them I think we'll get one of the three

Villa has already signed for Barcelona hasn't he?

And what a signing Barca have got there. He's going to score bucket loads next season compared to Henry.

Maybe Mac meant we are signing the whole Aston Villa team?! Can't think of one of their players I would want - not even Milner or Young TBH.

Can't believe we didnt really go for Villa, the lad always score goals.

I believe we will see Benayoun, Schweinstieger and Aguero or Silva - interesting summer for sure.

PigScaffolding - To play deep and add some pace and dynamism to our midfield, even when Essien is out.

Aguero - To play in the inside right position, in our 4-3-3. Give us an extra spark, and possibly even more goals than we're getting from Kalou/Anelka in that position.

The rest to be filled by youngsters coming through.

I think Villa won't play well in Barca. He will doing the same like Ibrahimovic. Good start, terrible finish.

Seeing how well he plays in Spain international team I can't see that happening, they play like Barcelona. Also he played in Spain all his life I believe and keeps delivering goals.

On Ozil

No, no, no! We don't need them! Ozil in Chelsea?? He won't play well...

On David Villa

On Angel Di Maria

Do you think he will be good player for Real? I think that he isn't good player for big games, but he can play well with lower opponents.

On Luis Suarez

He is superb player for Ajax and for Uruguay national team, but I can't see him doing well at Chelsea.

Not sure what all this talk of Ibra being terrible is, he scored over 20 goals in the season. Villa will be fine at Barca too IMO. He'll play a bit more on the left hand side similar to how he is playing for Spain currently. A frontline of Villa, Ibra, Messi is scary.

Ask him about Ibrahimovic, he seems to be pretty much the only player he rates in world football.

I’d start by ruling out Benayoun simply on the basis of him being a player that is older than Joe and one that is patently lacking the potential of Miroslav Stoch - in other words why buy him and allow both these players (along with Ballack) to leave? If this type of logic is accepted at boardroom level the ‘certain someone’ coming in (unless Kakuta is going to be given an inordinate amount of game time) has to surpass those three that have left in terms of [acceptable] age, desirable skills and sadly, in all probability, inflated wage demands. David Silva would have fit the bill on points one and two, but City won hands down when it came to a comparison of each club’s future salary scales. If, for instance in the case of James Milner, that continually turns out to be a more relevant factor than ambition, we’re always bound to look elsewhere and I for one would want us to.

Anyway, other factors may prove to be far more important, such as EUFA’s home grown regulations (post Joe Cole going) or whether or not this is really the position where we have always planned to push the boat out. If so, and the ’politics’ Joe has referred are more than just a figment of his imagination, it may well be that Milner isn’t even on the radar and Pato is the marquee arrival with Carlo’s attempts to get him to the Bridge being in effect by hook, crook, or a ‘let’s make an ideal place available for him’ means. At times like these it is the state of the selling club that you look to for guidance and whilst AC Milan’s is not as parlous as, say, Liverpool’s or [reputedly] Atletico Madrid’s, the chances of Pato signing look stronger to me at present than either Torres or Aguero.

I don’t want to see us splash the cash in any other area of the pitch or the squad, but as the topic asks for predictions and mine are always way off beam whether I want the player concerned (still can’t forget my unheard pleas for Tevez) or not, I’ll plump for us bidding for Jack Rodwell (if we see Riccy leave or Milner also opt for the Abu Dhabi boys dosh) and, in all likelihood, Pato turning up on our doorstep. There we are, that’s me done and let me put on record that I never, ever, want to see Sergio Aguero anywhere near our forward line. I think he’s useless and I wouldn’t enjoy watching him play for one moment. I mean it, God, I really do….

On the finish of the season, his form was very weak...

Stoch wanted to go and only had a year left on his contract, we didnt really have a lot of choice. I think its fairly obvious that Sinclair doesnt have a future at the club, he will end up on loan again or sold for a minimal amount.

We could sign a new contract with him. I think he would agree.

All this talk is interesting but I think the most interesting is the fact that there have been no strong rumours surrounding us. The Torres talk has all but died as with Benayoun, Milner will no doubt head to City. No further news with Augero and Pato has dropped off the map……where do we go from here…..3rd place? :(

I just hope we strengthen the squad, which we really need to if we want to defend the titles we won and also add the Champions League to the collection.

Torres, Özil, Sneijder, Schweinstieger, VdV possible signings this summer I believe. Doubt we'll get anyone of these, perhaps Schweinstieger?

As long as we sign Aguero, I'll be happy. He is a great in the making. Think we do need someone to replace Ballack, and possibly that should be Schweinsteiger!

Dorset, I am curious, why are you so opposed to Aguero? Its just my opinion, but I think Pato would be a bigger risk for alot more money. Theyre not identical players, but at the moment, I would argue we need a "number 10" far more than an out and out striker.

Failed to spot the irony in my post, WW, and what was meant to be a complete change of plan on my part over 'praying' for a player. You see I went on about wanting Tevez for years without anyone answering that particular prayer, so this time I thought I'd try a different approach! Believe me, if we end up signing Aguero I'll be over that proverbial blue moon!
