I mean the carrot has been out about us giving Alonso everything he wants and adding expierence but, so far, that 25 and under policy remains in place. Xhaka move failed. That Rayo left back move looks off as we won't pay the release cause and they are not shifting from it. Lacroix deal has gone silent. No issue adding the young right back from Atlanta though. One player under 25 done quick sharp.
Sunday at 19:213 days It's like when a husband says he'll change his ways to his long suffering wife and all he does is the washing up. Wonder what Alonso makes of it all.
Sunday at 22:023 days Orlando Gill linked with going to United. Looked good at the world cup, is he worth a look? Also Brazilian reports say we don't want a squad without a Santos so want to replace Andrey with Danilo from Botafogo.
Monday at 07:383 days Seems Arsenal are signing Morgan & Guimaraes. Our lot were talking about Villa asking for too much money, but I think wages is the real problem.

Diogo Costa would do it.

Hope he enjoys recycling possession, tracking back and crossing.

It improves us significantly and demonstrates that these clown are physically capable of completing a deal for a grown up.,
Monday at 11:003 days I can't see how we do both Lacroix and Wharton. Guehi is a prime example of what Palace will do to hold on to a player who wants to leave. Even one of them, at the moment, looks unlikely. Wharton will require an Enzo sale, which too looks unlikely. Morten Hjulmand has gone to Atletico (no idea why we were never interested); Santos is gone. It's just looking bleak right now. I'll be damned if we go into a 4th straight year with Caicedo carrying bricks for 38 matchweeks.

Penders can have a season as his no2 or have a season loan in the prem.

Do we wait in the hope Penders is as good as they say he is and suffer in the mean time. Or just buy a goal keeper that will instantly make us a better team but will force Penders out. Theres no guarantees Penders turns out to be as good as Costa or the Dortmund goalkeeper who I really like anyway. We buy costa and have a good goalie for the next 5-10 years or suffer Sanchez for a couple more years only for Penders to be average. Then there's the chance Penders is World Class in 5 years time and we get 15 years out of him. The other option is to buy Maignan and end up wishing we'd kept Sanchez. If only we bought a decent keeper to begin with.

Monday at 11:233 days Just buy the decent keeper who is available at IMO a reasonable price and then still hope Penders becomes a good keeper and it’s a nice headache in a few seasons but right now we should back the manager and sign Costa…… with PSG sniffing it probably won’t happen but if it can we should try.

I'll probably get panned for it, but i think he goes under the radar but runs for ever and is quality both in and out of possession. Lacroix and Garner and i would be pleased with that as solid start for XA. Bugger all chance though and i am not totally convinced Wharton happens anyway (much as a like him), as i could see us getting hijacked by a club with European football. God help us if its Enzo+Caicedo in the pivot again for a FOURTH STRAIGHT YEAR.

Penders is 20yrs; and there is an acknowledgment by the club that the longer he stays out on loan, the greater the risk of detachment from his parent club. He isn’t going to go out on loan for the next 3yrs. Club should have left him out on loan for next season, but as usual they have jumped the gun. The only alternative is to sell low, and attach a buyback + sell on clause.PS. Where did this sudden love for Diogo Costa come from? We were linked with him 3yrs ago, and everyone said No! Brilliant shot stopper, good with his feet, but bad with catching crosses.
