Are we ignoring the 4 years LaCroix spent in Germany.

Im not against Wharton he’s got great potential but he would benefit from playing in a team with a better mix of youth and experience.

Playing in Germany is about the same level as playing for our U18's.

Unlike you to indulge in hyperbole. Is it the heat?

My office is well conditioned. My plush leather recliner is a little too cold to the touch, if anything.

Suggest a hot water bottle. Or rest your feet on one of your sweating, exhausted, exploited workers.

While being an attacker in the Bundesliga looks like easy mode with the high lines and fast counters, in turn seems like defending is on hard mode. Can't dismiss 4 years as nothing which included a run out in the champions league. I Don't think the problem is the bundesliga exactly it is more to do with the scouting. Man City for example have bought multiple top players from German. Kompany, De Bruyne, Haaland, Gundogan and more.

Worryingly we are strongly linked with a couple of Serie A defenders. Now that's a league that I'd try steer clear of, but again with good scouting you can find gems anywhere.

I have one feeding me grapes while the other dabs my forehead with a cool compress at 3 minute intervals. A second too late or too early and they'll be on a performance review.

Pfffft. Getting soft.

I rate Anderson but £130m is absolute bonkers for someone who hasn't done anything extraordinary.

Think we may enter in the era of poor recruitment from City.

Prices across the board are becoming nonsensical.

Simon Phillips saying we have enquired about Lewis Hall, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guiamares. With Newcastle asking about Delap and Josh.

Tottenham want Tonali and now this BREAKING NEWS

I watched the "Turk-eA" play Team USA. And i saw a player that really stood out - sure it was only Team USA - but team USA are strong, fast and well organised and so to play well against them you are going to need some skills. That Young Turk Arda Guler. We have been linked with him a few weeks ago. Alonso wants him apparently and 78 million quid is the price and so considering how much is being spent elsewhere that actually makes him a real bargain.

I watched all Turkey's games. Arda Guler has some great skill but he was disappointing in both the previous games. He also looked a bit easy to muscle off the ball at times which doesn't bode well for Premier League. That being said he is young and Alonso apparently gets on well with him from their time at Madrid. I could see him being used as a makeweight in a deal if Enzo goes there.

£130m is utterly insane, especially for a player of his quality. I hate where football has gone.

We started it though paying ridiculous fees for Enzo & Caicedo. Looking at those 3 fees and how much we are asking for Enzo , how much is a Vitinha, Neves or Pedri worth in this market?

Hard to say as the Turkish team were truly awful in those games (and they are actually a good team imho). Arda Guler gives me the Cherki and maybe even Hazard vibes. Guler is technically very gifted - ability to find the space and unlimited passing range. I think he is tougher than he looks - he is only 21 - but looks younger. He's a lefty. Can play the wing - but more of an attacking midfield player.

Quite why people pay so much attention to rumours is beyond me.

You should hear the ones about you. . .

I think the rumours are the 'soap opera' component of following football. Everyone likes a bit of gossip.

I don't need to. I start them.
