To play where though, if Alonso insists on a 3-4-3. Forest will be rightly asking for £80m min, and he is already on £150k/w at Forest. It Ndiaye who seems to be holding out for us. That move also seems silly; as you think the priority would be to give Quenda & Estevao mins, and not pay £60m for Ndiaye to sit on the bench.

MG-W is the last player we need. He's ring-fenced at Forest anyway. Midfield the priority. Brighton played straight through, as did Fulham. That, and the backline has no defensive protection.

Morgan Gibbs-White is one player put forward we could go after if we get the Enzo sale.

Really not opposed to this at all. MGW is a fantastic player and would compliment the front 3 perfectly. Personally, prefer him to Scott.

Obviously Adam Wharton is the dream transfer but with Palace’s start and their ownerships unwillingness to lose too many key pieces ever year that deal is as good as impossible.

He's also another 5'7, I'm not saying it can't work but it'll create an obvious weakness to our midfield

Absolutely laughable that these are the guys we're looking at to replace Enzo. Yesterday showed how badly we need a midfielder and getting a cheaper option like Kone or Camara is a big step backwards for the squad.

Enzo won’t have helped us yesterday even in a deeper role. What we needed was some steel, and a player who could help us carry the ball upfield which he isn’t.

I see he was not subbed, played the whole game.

At the end did he do the normal player leaving thing of applauding all sides of the ground by any chance?

Kissed the badge so he’s 100% on his way here.

Well Caicedo was the missing link there, signing a Camara or Kone feels like a back up for him rather than someone who complements Caicedo. I just feel that if we were to sell Enzo we need a signing that improves our squad, selling Enzo and bringing in Camara/Kone doesn't do that in my opinion.

This is just disappointing.

As others have noted, this bloke is essentially another Lavia. We were frustrated last season when we didn't have a recognizable back line; I feel it will be more of the same this season, but in midfield when we are shuffling midfielders depending on who is actually f**king fit for the week.

Dampers the mood completely.

I mean, it's either him or another round of Gusto CM 🤢

We had all summer to sort out the CM issue. CB and CM were the glaring issues, and this is before our games against Fulham & Brighton, where there was zero control.

Kone has a poor record with injuries.

If he gets fit Henderson will get plenty of game time while Reece, Lavia and Kone get treatment. Especially if Moi is also out long term.
