If Ferguson had told your lot they were going there for Pre Season. They would all have been going ! No debating it😀

I'd say that was about as long as JH grew his barnet.

The sensible family men types such as him, Bonetti, Harris, Houseman tended to lack sideburns and have fairly conventional hair, whilst the younger, wilder Kings Road pisshead players attitude shone through, by means of longer tousled hair and proper meaty sideboards I'd say as a general rule.

Just posting this to highlight pun intended when you see the clip how good the pitch was pre East Stand.

 

 

 

 

 

Against City 1986 only 12,000 at the game our attendances that season are really bad I just looked it up not a single game over 30,000 although a couple close. But it wasn't just us 25,000 at Anfield, 33,000 at OT and 32,000 at Highbury which for all three is more or less half empty stadiums.
