August 7, 201312 yr C'mon C'mon come along and sing this song, we're the boys in blue from division two and we won't be there for long ...
August 7, 201312 yr I could be in any of the pics, on the pitch or in the east stand middle, I gave my blue and white bobble hat (without bobble - bobble = uncool) to John Sparrow.
August 7, 201312 yr Brilliant photos, I was there that day and it seems like yesterday. To top it off spurs went down and we went out and got lagged.
August 7, 201312 yr Chelsea 4 Hull 0 Funny looking at these pictures and the game on tv. Hadn't been to the Bridge Yet, the 1977/78 season was my debut!! Chelsea vs Liverpool F A Cup, not a bad start!! Six months short of my 10th birthday.
August 7, 201312 yr I love Eddie Mac's attire when he came out to address the fans on a microphone. He was dressed like a proper 70's pimp.
August 8, 201312 yr Alan Hudson v Ipswich at The Bridge back in early 70s and scoring a goal when it never went in.
August 8, 201312 yr What a great photo. I started in the west side then used to get in at 1.30 to get a position sitting on the white wall. Progressed to Benches, Teabar and Gate 13 over the years. Happy days.
August 8, 201312 yr What a great photo. I started in the west side then used to get in at 1.30 to get a position sitting on the white wall. Progressed to Benches, Teabar and Gate 13 over the years. Happy days. My starting point was the white wall then the benches and sometimes back to the white wall. Its was in the days when you could "upgrade" to the benches via the shed. I also has a spell in row or gate z in the west stand, the one nearest to the north stand. Those were happy days tea bar I totally agree, these days it's wherever I can get 3 seats together. A load of bollocks to be honest.
August 8, 201312 yr White Wall of the shed I must say Carshalton you have some seriously good pictures its often makes coming on this forum worth it. Long may it continue!

August 9, 201312 yr e]Great picture. Still makes you think about the actual gate rather than the one Chelsea announced. Started watching to the right of the White wall with my brother, then progressed to the Middle when I could handle the great surges!! Knees up mother brown.......benches then West stand. 1988/89 my first season ticket aged 20. A lot cheaper than my Matt Harding upper tkt now!!!
August 9, 201312 yr Something a bit different, Cardiff forum on our past games. http://www.cardiffcityforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=119581 Nice one. Couple of years before my time unfortunately. Have to disagree Lord Ninian, Chelsea smashed Cardiff from the Ninian pub to Doc Graham's. baddest and biggest mob I ever seen in Cardiff apart from Man utd. Me and Dai H always reckoned Chelsea had other cockney lads with them. Most of Cardiff legged it. Mostly old B troop kept the heads in the fire and ultimately we had the sh*t kicked out of us. One of the brothers got stabbed in the head . I can recall they were chanting War! War! War as they bowled down Tudor road wielding anything they could pick up. Some were all bandaged up from earlier scrapping where it was even. I have to admit it was very fooling naughty. Police were no where and I am surprised there wasn't anybody killed. They used to love coming to Cardiff, Hickmott stated Cardiff always turned up. Would only rate them 4 th in London but when they came to Cardiff they were better than any others by far.
August 9, 201312 yr Something a bit different, Cardiff forum on our past games. http://www.cardiffcityforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=119581 Was 15 when I went to that game. What a day!! Talk about growing up on the spot, had seen a lot in 6 years of going but this was unbelievable. I think the attendance is wrong because I was in the seats at the side with our allocation, there was also the open terrace with our fans. Also as people have said earlier, the clips on you tube show Chelsea in the home end, then by the last clip it's just Chelsea. I know people left the ground with about 20 mins to go to go round to the home end, but even so what a turn out that day.
August 9, 201312 yr Something a bit different, Cardiff forum on our past games. http://www.cardiffcityforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=119581 Some fair accounts from the day. I didn't attend myself bit to young but a couple of my mates did who don't normally get too involved and even they said they were fighting after the game. Watched it in youtube and its is funny, watching our lot walk around the ground. Loved the away games around 84 to 89 we always had big numbers, the man city and sheff Wednesdays games were one's I remember the best.
August 9, 201312 yr Cheers mate, their not all mine but some i get from elsewhere, i love old pics like these, its a shame there's not anyone else with their own collection on here. I'll have to have a word with my uncle he has quite a few pictures. One he is proud of is a picture edition of the London evening standard when we won the cup winners cup in 71. Then all I need to do is suss out my scanner!

August 10, 201312 yr Author Chelsea at Brighton 1981, though we never played at BHA in 81, looks like Kerry Dixon in the pic tho & he didnt sign until 83, going by the kit it does look like an early 80s kit, maybe a friendly? Edited August 10, 201312 yr by Carshalton Blue
August 10, 201312 yr Remember the Cardiff game well. Soaked to the skin in the open end, three nil down and not feeling too chuffed. Intimidating when we first got there but funny as hell watching the entertainment in the stands during the game. Getting back to three all was brilliant. Felt good to be part of it that day.
