It’s incredibly fast. From turning it on to jumping into a game, it takes like, 30 seconds.  

I booted up both AC: Valhalla and Miles Morales and the graphics on both are really good. The ray-tracing (I think that’s it?) makes the light and reflections look outstanding in Spiderman.

And in AC, from what I’ve played so far in the Norway segment, it looks great. The snow looks very realistic and loading times barely exist. 

Overall a big improvement from the PS4! I’m very impressed and I’m dying for Cyberpunk and the new Horizon Zero Dawn games to come out, they are going to look out of this world. 
 

@Blueblur Apparently mine is due and been sent to the warehouse for packing.

How are you finding using PS4 games on it? Notice any improvement to textures and load speeds. I take it your AC is for PS5 anyway.

 

 

Does it sound like a jumbo jet getting ready to take off and get so hot smoke starts to come out of it like the PS4?

My PS4 makes exactly that sound - I swear it’s going to blow up soon. 

AC Oddessy is only £16 on the PS store. Has anyone played it? Worth a go?

 

Normally a big fan of AC games but gone off then recently. I’ve heard Oddessy has rated pretty well though.

I played it not that long ago, it’s not like previous AC games at all so worth a punt for £16. It was alright. 

GTA 5 and Clash of Clans are two my favorite game right now. Both entertaining

I sunk 110+ hours into that game. I thought it was wonderful. Buy it!

I have only tried Watch Dogs Legion (my PS4 version) on my PS5 and it looked slightly better graphics-wise. Loading times were also A LOT quicker.

And the PS5 doesn’t make a sound either. My PS4 sounded like it was about to take flight, like a jumbo jet engine. 

Yeah AC and Spider Man are the PS5 versions.

I haven't planned getting any actual PS5 games yet. My PS4 drive was going mad spitting disks constantely. It had been doing it on and off for a good few years, so just needed to get hold of a PS5 to continue, at least, with disks. The other day I totally cleaned out the PS4 thinking it would be weeks until my PS5 would be sent and the drive is good for now.

I had planned on Far Cry 6 being the first PS5 game but will probably get that Spiderman before then.

Did you have any trouble bringing over the data from 4 to 5? All game saves are on the cloud right?

Tempted with AC Oddessy.  Though the only thing is that I’ve almost finished playing Ghost of Tsushima (which has been amazing) so bit scared AC might be a poor version of it.

I see! Never had the disc spitting problem luckily. 
 

No trouble bringing the saved data over at all- if you connect your PS4 and PS5 to your wifi network it will transfer the data at a push of a button (and a 15 min wait, depending on how much data is being moved over). 

Do you replay games? I don’t tend to, once I’m done with it I trade them. 

Also, I made the mistake of buying FIFA 21 to give it a try. Normally I play PES. It’s really swish and stylish but the gameplay is so poor. Really stiff and automatic.  I much prefer PES compared.

I sometimes replay games yes, Skyrim, Zelda games, GTA, are all games I’ve replayed a lot. But Far Cry and other games, not so much. I thought Far Cry 4 was the best of the lot though, didn’t like 5 much.

Yeah I think 5 wasn’t that well received for some reason. 4 was definitely very good.

It is an amazing game. If you like AC games then it’s very similar. It will look unreal on PS5. Haven’t played the online version yet

Considering it but I’d be playing it on my brothers PS5, be wanting to be on it nonstop and would feel like I was taking the piss a bit!

Got it pre loaded on PS5 and there's already a meaty 24gb, day one patch. 

Almost every review says its a glitchy mess despite the positive reviews but I'm hoping that patch address a few and makes it feel more playable. 

It appears an Amazon courier has nicked the case for a new PC I wanted to build for Cyberpunk so I'm not going to be playing on Day 1 it seems.
