Almost every review says its a glitchy mess despite the positive reviews but I'm hoping that patch address a few and makes it feel more playable. In fairness, I would rather the game have a lot of bugs than bad gameplay, you can always fix the first part (well mostly) than the latter. It will probably take a lot of updating for this game to get to an acceptable state for most gamers. Either way, I'm not that much bothered when it comes to bugs. Even when I played Mass Effect Andromeda and people were raving about the bugs, for me the bugs didn't bother me, it was the gameplay I didn't like. Edited December 9, 20205 yr by Slojo

I dont really mind daft graphical jank, as long as it doesnt bother the actual game I can just look right past it. That might be because Ive played all the Fallout games though ha ha..

I skim read a couple of reviews and apparently some of the glitches and bugs require you to completely turn off and restart the game. Considering the game was originally meant to come out in September and then got pushed back yet another 3 weeks at the last minute tells me that there's a chance that even now the game isn't "finished" but they didn't want to miss out on Christmas sales when they've been leading up to this for seven years. I won't be surprised if they patch the sh*t out of this over the next couple of months releasing numerous hot fixes.
December 9, 20205 yr I’ll be going to Game on Thursday after work to buy it. Unfortunately it means I won’t get chance to play until Friday evening.

It seems the review version has since been patched a couple of times so fingers crossed they all go. Mine on the Xbox had a pretty hefty update last night. Maybe worth checking to see if theres one waiting for the PS5 too. Edited December 9, 20205 yr by dkw

Considering a lot of PS4 games are on average 40gb a patch of over 20gb is massive so I would assume what we play will be quite different to what reviewers did. That said, I pay so little attention to reviews nowadays because so many games developers are bribing or blackmailing positive reviews for their big releases you can't trust most of them anyway.

Yeah paid reviews are a joke now, but you also have reviewers taking in agendas on Trans rights and all kinds of sh*t. The Gamespot and Polygon reviews are shocking, they barely even mention the mechanics of the game at all, its all about how terrible the game/developer is because you cant be a man with a womans voice and tits, or some other rubbish.
December 9, 20205 yr For those who have PS5, what’s the controllers like? I read that it’s a massive improvement and the new triggers really help bring the game to life

Yeah I read the Polygon "review". It's not a review when you start your piece with complaint about trans representation within the game. But sites like Polygon and Kotaku have increasingly moved away from traditional games journalism and increasingly wrote about aspects of gaming culture only a niche few actually care about.

I read that it’s a massive improvement and the new triggers really help bring the game to life Got mine last Tuesday and for me it’s the most noticeable thing. PS4 games I’ve played on it (GTA online, Fallout 76) seem slightly smoother and more colourful graphics, but the stand out is the controller on the change. It seems more responsive too but I’m not sure if it’s just cause it’s new and I’ve hammered my PS4 controllers. I have had the freeze on the new Spider-Man which some people have been getting and the game update didn’t fix it for me. I did read that it might be because the external HD for PS4 games is connected, so that needs a fix if so.
December 10, 20205 yr CyberPunk, 10/10 so far until one incident. I made sure to give my guy a big penis, looked in the mirror nude, no penis, that's 3 score less, 7/10.
December 10, 20205 yr I rarely play anything these days but this is interesting and seems like it could be a 'landmark' game, and I need something to pass the time during my hermit's Christmas holiday (can't travel to see family due to quarantine, etc.). The graphics card in my laptop is not powerful enough to run this, however I see the game can be played via GeForce Now's cloud gaming service. I've never tried it before, but for $6/month it's got to be worth a shot. Definitely can't justify getting a console or upgrading my laptop for one game. The genital customization feature sounds weird. Does it actually have any bearing on the gameplay/plot?

December 10, 20205 yr So the big question regarding Cyberpunk is, are you guys going for a circumcised or uncircumcised penis in the character customisation?

Big cock and big jugs so my character can toss themselves off why fondling their huge chesticles and chatting to Keanu Reeves. Generation defining moment for gaming.

It's the guys who are playing on really high specs that are having issues, their systems can't seem to take it.
December 11, 20205 yr So i had a few hours on it last night and loved every minute. Its exactly what I hoped it would be, my kind of game. Ive barely had any bugs that I can remember, or jank. But I dont really ever notice small stuff like that and just get on with playing the game. Unlike the mentalists who desperately hunt for the tiniest little fault so they can highlight it on social media and make a huge thing of it.
December 11, 20205 yr I must have missed giving my character a penis. I created my character but didn’t see that option. Oh well, doubt it’s that important! I got it last night and installed it. Only managed to do the tutorial and then the first mini mission. First impressions are good. Spotted a couple of minor bugs like guns floating in the air but that’s nothing. I was hoping to get a taste of driving but I heard it takes 6-8 hours before you fully open the map. That true?
December 11, 20205 yr Just played a couple of missions. It does seem really buggy and not smooth at all. Some of the graphics are that impressive for what you would call a high end game. Driving a car is really glitchy. Still the gameplay is pretty good.
December 11, 20205 yr The level of detail is insane, it's possibly the best looking game I have ever seen (the pc version at least) I don't think the game is for me though, and it's mainly because it's in first person. I have never been a first person fan. If a mod is ever created that makes it third person, then I will play it without a doubt. I'm also unsure on the actual gameplay itself. A lot of it seems okay, but nothing great. The hand to hand combat looks really janky. I seen somebody make a video comparing it to Mirror's Edge, and Mirror's Edge hand to hand combat destroys Cyberpunk 2077. Edited December 11, 20205 yr by Scott Harris
December 12, 20205 yr There seems to be ALOT of cut scenes and talking. I feel like I’m barely playing the game.
December 12, 20205 yr FINALLY finished divinity 2. But annoying though, cos at the end i chose we should do A my gf answered B and it just ignored my answer and did B.
December 14, 20205 yr I've requested a refund for Cyberpunk. The constant crashes have meant I can't get into the game. The bugs and glitches are woeful too. I'll give it a few months and go back to it when it's patched into something more playable.
