loz
Liverpool are out Votes for the worst defence of the season. 1. Chelsea's without JT and Cech 2. England's Defence of the Ashes 3. Liverpool's Defence of the FA Cup I dare sy the mousers will claim they were hard done by as they has loads of possession in the second half but the bottom line, as is so often with their mediocre strikers and wingers , is that they create very little with the possession. Gem
Have the holders of the cup ever gone out in their first round? Oh, and I'm thrilled it was Carjacker's fault that Liverpool were knocked out. You never know at 2-1.
Englishman
Have the holders of the cup ever gone out in their first round? We did a few years ago. Wasn't it 3-5 against United? Hilarious that Carjacker's mistake cost the Mickeys. Even more hilarious to hear Lawrenson try to excuse the performance.

Gem
Wonderful picture Not to mention, these brilliant twatish statements by Stevens http://thestar.com.my/sports/story.asp?fil...2437&sec=sports ?They will be fearing the tie more than we will. They are a top side with top players and we know it?s going to be a very difficult game. ?But we have proved we can beat anybody at Anfield and I?m sure it?s going to be a terrific match this weekend. We are certainly all looking forward to. ?We have got a really strong squad, we are playing well at the moment and I fancy us to be in the draw for the fourth round.? Backbiter
Have the holders of the cup ever gone out in their first round? I remember us starting our defence of our first ever FAC at home to Man C. We got stuffed 3-0. Classic picture, Gem!

Nibs
Liverpool are out Of course the flip side of that is the Gooners are still in :) Still lesser of two evils I guess. Does that mean Gerrard loses his MBE now? And what happened to the scousers who claimed that Carragher was better than JT

RedRobMol
just thought i should perhaps show my face. No excuses about dominating, or anything like that. Did think we should have had a pen (maybe even two on a good day) but the ref got it very wrong. As for the defending, f**k knows what happened. I know that the defence look totally different nowadays when Reina isnt behind them, and as for Carragher (your spell check must not work by the way) for henry's goal, for some reason he always f**ks up against Henry, its a mental thing i reckon, still think he's as good as Terry though. loz
I take it you mean the Alonso incident - the one where he showed himself to be a near perfect master of the art of throwing your own leg toward the defenders leg as you go down to make it look like it was a foul. I say 'near perfect' as the ref actually spotted him and rightly booked him. I was amazed the ref did see it as they nearly always fall for it. ethicalstrategy
I was particularly amused to hear Lawrenson almost in tears at 2-0 down and questioning why Bellamy was still warming up. I really did think he was about to cry! and was it just me or did Hansen look like death warmed up?
Nibs
It's funny with Hansen & Lawrenson. Maybe it's just me but I've always really liked Hansen but I can't stand Lawrenson. He is always so Liverpool biased, whereas Hansen isn't and it's almost like he enjoys the fact they are not as good as they were when he played for them

You can tell that Hansen has a genuine affection for us and is always truly gutted when we lose, but he was so good, and in such good teams that he will always criticise what needs to be criticised, however he doesnt seem to wallow in it, whereas Lawrensen is an arse.
