Tevez or Van Persie?

Featured Replies

Tevez when not in a huff.

Yeah I'm kinda siding with him my dream teams f**ked at the min Aguero & Rooney injured Dempsy was on strike and now Moses has joined you I doubt he'll get much game time for points.

Van Persie is better for Dream Team as United target him to score the goals, whereas Tevez is more of the allround player who lays in passes as well as scoring..

If I could have one striker from the Prem I think it would be Aguero, although, obviously, RVP would give him a run for his money.

However the player I most fear facing is Tevez. Tevez is a winner. There's something about him. At Boca they won everything. He went to Corinthians, a perennial underachiever, and they started achieving. At Wet Spam, they won something like 8 of their last 9, improbably escaping relegation, wholly inspired by Tevez. At Utd, he won the title and the CL, and no sooner does he join City than they win their first trophies in aeons. Do not be surpised if they win the CL. A Tevez team invariably wins.

Season before last he was easily the best player in the Prem. No idea how Bale/Parker got the awards. In Brazil I think he was the first Argentine in history to win the award.

Say what you want about him. On the pitch, he is some competitor.

Tevez any time. If he played in a tactic like RVP plays now, he would get more goals, but City don't do that. They tend to pass the ball in front of the goal and Tevez is everywhere anyways.

As much as I hate the rapist bar steward and both teams he has played for if anyone thinks that cut throat jake comes close to the quality of Van Pussy needs their head testing ! ... Let's hope he pulls a muscle soon.

You're right, Tevez doesn't come to close to Van Persie's quality. He surpasses it.

Tevez is in my opinion the best attacking player in the EPL when motivated and reasonably slim. Not only does he get the best out of himself, he also gets the best out of his team mates. Just look at Aguero's scoring tally with Tevez and with Dzeko/Balotelli.

Tough call. Tevez works hard and can do wonders for any team, but he also has one of the worst attitudes in the world of football. He would watch his team crash and burn if it helped him in anyway. van Persie on the other hand has better attitude (though his move to United was an odd one) and can score loads of goals, but he does tend to get injured.

Not much between them at all, whatever one can do the other can do just as well. They both have the same affect on the team and they both work hard for the team, though Tevez probably edges it in that regard. Only real difference is that Tevez is a much better dribbler but then again RVP doesn't need to do that, all it takes is a shift and a slight change of a direction and he's created tons of space for himself. RVP is also a better finisher.

Not sure what you mean by team, I assumed you meant Chelsea but then you said something about a dream team. Dream team; RVP. Chelsea; Tevez.

I disagree. Tevez can play the role that Van Persie does, but I don't think the reverse is true. Tevez is an absolute bull dog. It's more than just work rate, it's his mentality. There's not much to separate them in terms of offensive skill, but Tevez is much better at tracking back, fighting for the ball and I have a hell of a lot more faith in him showing up in the big games.

RVP is a better goalscorer if fit but its a big if .For chelsea id rather tevez

RVP has a somewhat unfair reputation with injuries, he was not getting recurring injury problems or any problems with muscles his injuries were coming about directly from some horrific tackles. There is a huge difference from that and some like alexander Pato or Michael Owen.

Think Tevez is better suited to Chelsea however wouldnt want him at the club. Both class players

Tevez for me as well. When he is on the pitch I forget all his twatness and enjoy the genius of a true world class footballer that he is.
