I totally agree with you and im pretty sure every other fan would agree with you BUT i dont think that it is the case with Torres.

Our team selection should not be based on what the media's reaction to dropping a player will be. If he's not playing well, drop him.

This would be my second birthday if it happens this year.

I say we should sign either Cavani or Lewandowski. Especially the latter as he will be a cheaper option with just over a year left on his contract.

So what do we think of this Goal.com story on Falcao?

I wasnt aware he even had a clause in his contract and it mentioned Nando up for sale to fund it which I find hard to understand as it would only leave Studge for CL football as a striker.

I think the problem we have with bring a new striker in is he needs to be a bigger enough name to replace Torres, no matter what as soon as Torres is benched the media will be all over it, now if we bought Falcao for example then it would look more reasonable but say if we got Remy then it wouldnt look so good.

For me the reason Torres is starting every match is just to save face. Yes he has had a few good games but he has also had some real stinkers and actually not bothered in some. Now try and think if it was someone like Studge who didnt try in a game do you think he would be playing the next game? No! Robbie would have stuck him on the bench. But with Torres i think the club want to save face, they have done everything they can to get him going, I think Robbie could be worried that if he stuck him on the bench for more than one game and gave Studge a run then Torres would slip back to the Torres of last season which is even worse than we have now.

They are all over us like a bad rash now, that has not stopped Chelsea deciding their own future, no wonder RA will not talk to the press, you would wonder what sort of garbage they would print if he did.

Shouldnt be suprised as this is what happened with Sheva the first time around, Roman will say they have to play as he was the one who funded them in the first place and it just has to be accepted as this is how it works. They will say 7 goals in 18 games this season merits Torres starting instead of Danny but regardless I think Torres will start because Roman says so.

I would rather take a Chelsea Sheva over a Chelsea Torres any day of the week. As bad as Sheva was, he did get more goals from the amount of games I believe and actually tried to negate the negative aspects of his game for example, pace. He took up extra training sessions with a running coach to improve his overall pace in games. Torres needs to hire Pippo Inzaghi to teach him how to goal hang and score crucial goals.

BTW Falcao rumours on goal.com. I don't belive goal.com one bit. They make up so many fake stories, they are bound to get one right. Thier accuracy is poor IMO.

Torres scored goals against Arsenal, Shaktar, Newcastle this season that were won with a 1 goal margin........

I think being realistic he isn't, nor will he ever be, the player we thought we were getting when we paid £50m for him. That said, he still has quality, and works his socks off for the team - if we sign another top striker in January I for one would welcome the move, even if it was a swap deal for Falcao, but until then Torres should get our support, 100%, because this season you cannot fault his work rate, or his commitment to the team.

He is still scoring goals and working hard, he's not what we need to move forward but is the best option we have at the minute.

Unless he changes his game to a more RVP role instead of trying to roll back the years being a pacey forward then he will never be the main man again.

Wow calm down tiger, I just corrected you now your blowing your top! (dear oh dear)

For the record I took the huff not when posters disagreed with my Torres criticism (thats what I like debates), its morons that want to question your loyalty as a fan that riled me, as I said though I'll fight fire with fire if thats the route people want to take.

My agenda against Torres??? errrrm yeaaah sure!!

And Torres won the penalty that lead to one goal and scored the other.

NEXT......

Exactly, I don't get what this poster is all about?

I don't get what your about either. Posting incorrect facts and all. (doh!)

The debates you make are invalid as you cannot even get your facts correct...You smash your keyboard about not scoring important goals yet fail to even realise he has scored vital goals in at least 5 games this season to grab us vital wins...Come on then, let's see how you squirm out of your own words which have been proved to be utter rubbish.

You don't have to tell me that. I already corrected someone who got the score wrong. Saw those events with my own two eyes in the shed.

Ha- this coming from a guy that threw his toys out the pram only yesterday when pulled up on a few of his posts to the the point he stormed off the forum saying he would never be back like a moody teenager running away from home...... only to return the next day.

Pot. Kettle. Black.

I don't get what your about either. Posting incorrect facts and all. (doh!)

Coming from the balloon who posted Torres has not scored important goals.....Come on then Mr. " I'm not coming back on here because no one agrees with my attacks on Chelsea players".Can we keep this one?

Then there is no excuse for your previous post.

What incorrect facts did I post?

You say he scored important goals in at least 5 games this season? Can you name those games and breifly explain why each goal was important? (Now before you pull a fit on this, I'm not saying he does not score important goals, I just want to see if you can back up your claim with some credible facts)
