Ha- this coming from a guy that threw his toys out the pram only yesterday when pulled up on a few of his posts to the the point he stormed off the forum saying he would never be back like a moody teenager running away from home...... only to return the next day.

Pot. Kettle. Black.

Yep the moody teenager has returned and is all grown up to take on the bullys only to see these morons now throw hissy fits themselves.

Long time since my last post, I remember being in the West Stand last season against City - a game during which Mario gave City the lead early on. I remember the lads sitting next to me moaning about Sturridge all game long. Too selfish, always taking the wrong decision, etc I bit my lips - didn't utter a word. Around the half hour mark he setup Raul's goal a few said a few words defending Sturridge at that point; later on in the game he won us a penalty which Lampard converted to win us the game.

Fact is there was more cheering for Torres that match when he was warming up than for Sturridge when he came off. At that point I realized that people care more about Torres than any other players at the club. It always irked me, since he never earned such support while being at our club.

Bullys? :face_palm:

Ladies please, put your handbags down and get back on topic instead of making little bitchy remarks about each other.

Thats all they can throw at me. Instead of debating about lets face it,....'a useless and failure striker we have on our hands', they get all angry and throw insults.

Maybe throwing insults is the best option when you can't even predict the score of a game. LOL

What incorrect facts did I post?

You say he scored important goals in at least 5 games this season? Can you name those games and breifly explain why each goal was important? (Now before you pull a fit on this, I'm not saying he does not score important goals, I just want to see if you can back up your claim with some credible facts)

Why each goal is important? Are you an idiot or something.... That may just be the most idiotic comment I have read on here! But since you know so little about our club this season I will break it down for you lad..Chelsea 4 - Reading 2 (Torres scores on 81 minutes to give us a 3-2 advantage)Chelsea 2 - Newcastle 0 (Torres wins penalty and scores in game)Chelsea 2 - Arsenal 1 (Torres scores first goal)Chelsea 4 - Norwich 1 (Torres scores first goal again)Chelsea 3 - Shaktar 2 (Torres scores first goal again)Of course the above goals must not be important because you are an utter fool...

Bullys? :face_palm:

Excuse me. Bullies*. We all make errors don't we?

I remember you saying "would of"? (doh)

Okay, maybe Paul Furlong was me being a bit optimistic, but if not Paul, I’m sure Johnny Spencer would have scored a fair few in our current setup!

I also have to agree with people on this thread that say Danny is being treated unfairly. He must be thinking; ‘’What in God’s name have I got to do to get in the team?’’ It’s not as though Torres is setting the world alight?

Yes, he has the ego to rule all ego’s but so what? He has confidence in himself, so does that make him a bad player? It’s not as though he’s the first striker to grace our league who has a selfish streak (most top strikers do) it’s just how the club channel that character of his. Yes, I agree that some of his decision making is poor and sometimes he ignores the better option but how can you expect him to show his best football and learn to improve with 5-10 minutes here & there?

Even considering some of his short-comings, I firmly believe that he deserves a run in the side to at least have the opportunity to prove himself. Quite frankly, Robbie’s preference for Torres has been embarrassing when you’ve got a hungry young England International champing at the bit.

I’d say that Sturridge has that poachers instinct in front of goal, as we saw it last season. He’s certainly quicker than Torres, so current all things considered, he’s got to be our best option at the moment. He deserves a run of starting the next 5 games (at least) to show what he can do.

As others have said, as a defender, I know who I’d be more worried of and it’s not the guy with the highlights.

Well you can hardly debate on here when guys are posting stupid things like the goals he scores are not important and he is a pathetic player...This is a Chelsea forum....Didn't think that kind of thing should be going on....

Excuse me. Bullies*. We all make errors don't we?

I wasn't getting at the spelling actually, more just how you are trying to play the victim card despite the fact you happily insult and patronise people as much as anyone else on here.....

And yes I said 'would of' ..... funny that you didn't point that out yourself though isn't it? Mind you I think you had stormed out of the forum by that point.

Easy Tiger.

Reading - despite being slightly offside, Torres had a good game that night. There are dozens of more important games we will face this season, that wasn't exactly one of them.

Newcastle - (glad you got the score right this time) - No complaints.

Arsenal - Good opening goal - decent performance, didn't really offer much in the 2nd half. Went off the boil. Needed Mata to bail us out.

Norwich - Good header followed up by shocking misses. Not really the most important of goals and games. We would have won anyway. Clutching at straws I think.

Shaktar - Lucky goal, did nothing else all game.

I can name at least 5 important games this season where Torres has done nothing and failed. Want me to name them?

I actually saw it this morning. I would have......I mean would’ve corrected you at the time though....actually maybe not I'm not really to fussed about gramma on here depending on the context.

this is fun!

This is the most muddled and confused post I have read for a while.

Are you now suggesting that goals against opposition like Norwich and Reading should not be counted as 'we should win these games anyway'. Can you explain that logic a bit for me as I don't really understand? Your original point (I think) was that Torres hasn't scored any important goals this season. The above would suggest oherwise.

You then go on to offer to list games where Torres hasn't scored goals. Why would you do that? Has anyone suggested that Torers has scored in every game? No, so you don't need to provide a list do you?

I actually saw it this morning. I would have......I mean would’ve corrected you at the time though....actually maybe not I'm not really to fussed about gramma on here depending on the context.

I will settle for an explanation of why what I said was not gramatically correct now if you are offering?

"I can name at least 5 important games this season where Torres has done nothing and failed. Want me to name them?"

If it get's your knickers wet then go ahead kid.

Why anyone would post the drivel you post then claim to be a Chelsea fan is beyond me.

Goals against Reading and Norwich should be counted. Were they extremely important goals?? hmmmm no I don't think so. Especially the Norwich goal. He equalised like 2 minutes later and we still had an hour to come back and win the game. Reading fair enough he got a late winner but I was so confident we would win that game anyway.

Despite his equaliser against Norwich do you remember his even more shocking misses in the same game?

I'm not saying people are saying Torres has scored in every game. My counter argument is that not all of Torres goals have been Drogba, Man United esq important as some make out.

Exactly,

I'm not sure why some people feel that Daniel is a worse option than Torres at this point. He has played once as a striker from the start this season, other times he has had been brought on in matches when we are chasing a result and he barely gets a touch to the ball.

220 minutes of football - is not enough time for anyone to make a judgement.

Played on the wing:

Reading - 23 minutes

Tottenham - 10 minutes

Swansea - 18 minutes

Played as a striker:

Manchester United(CC) - 120 minutes

Manchester United - 10 minutes(while we were down to 9 chasing a result)

QPR - 10 minutes(chasing a result at 0-0)

Donetsk(A) - 21 minutes(was part of our consolation goal; setup a one on one chance for Hazard)

Donestk(H) - 1 minute

Liverpool - 9 minutes

Give him 2-3 starts in a row and it would be fare to say he is not good enough.

Fact is the match against United was frustrating but at the same time - during that match he setup more chances for himself and team mates(Moses was setup 3 times, two of which were sitters) than Torres does in 5 consecutive matches. The fact that things were not going right for him did not have any effect on his mentality he continued to look for the goal and once he got it - his performance improved by a fine margin. With Torres, even after a goal he would sometimes have his head down, mentally not all there for 90 minutes.

Fact is that Torres had 80 minutes on the field against Pool, he touched the ball 42 times yesterday, 26 of them directly resulted in a turnover, goal kick, or opponents throw. If you call that properly leading the line you're having a laugh - and Liverpool was not an isolated incident - he gets dispossessed/turnover around 5 times per match on avarage this season and his passing accuracy is 69.9%. Check out both statistics below:

http://www.whoscored.com/Players/4056

To me there is little difference in what Torres offers than what Kalou might have offered if he was kept and played 1480 minutes pretty much without ever seeing the bench. Difference between the two is Kalou is making a pittance in wages, doesn't moan to the media about how he is utilize at every opportunity, and has a more positive outlook when playing even when things are not going his way. Kalou never earned a automatic start despite working as hard as Torres is working right now; there were not chants all game long bigging him up; there was no vocal forum support for him in any forum I've been on - yet he pretty much did what Torres is doing right now.

Go and support Rangers!!!!

ONE LOVE, ONE LIFE, ONE CLUB!

No thanks, I live in London and have supported Chelsea since I was 4 years old.

Many Rangers supporters have a soft spot for Chelsea though and I'd love you to say that to a supporter face to face though.

I am pretty sure he doens't know much about the Chelsea/Rangers connection...

If he did then I doubt he would come out with something like 'go and support Rangers'

Why do you keep saying 'easy tiger' when anyone disagrees with you?

go figure.

Anyways this is about Torres, not gramma and not trying to claim whos a Chelsea fan and whos not.

Back to my point.

Hes a big waste of £50million

He tries for a period then completely loses interest

He is quite frankly useless and one of the worst number 1 strikers in the league.

He needs to be sold.

Well done you!!!!!! I will gladly tell anyone ONE LOVE ONE LIFE ONE CLUB. I'm so scared.
