OK I will play along.  Not quite sure how I would fit the team together but it would be something like

Don't worry, my selection would probably be totally different tomorrow, so many top players to choose from, so few places to accommodate them

Fair enough then, if it's from your lifetime. Good team though odd that you left out Ronaldinho and Zidane, or indeed possibly the greatest of all time in Maradona.

I watched George Best play against Chelsea many times, and would have him in any Best XI, finest player I ever saw - definitely ahead of Ronaldinho.

 

I've always hated Maradona, just one of those people I can't stand. Nothing to do with the 'hand of God' cheating either, I don't support England.

I'll blame my age for my lack of knowledge when it comes to footballing history, but I'm amazed that so many people have left Messi and Zidane out, especially the former.
