Lukaku to Everton

Featured Replies

To be honest I am glad he is gone, you have to doubt his mentality to perform when the pressure is on and the eyes of the world are focused on him.

Last season he missed a penalty in the Super Cup and ran away. In the World Cup Belguim's best striker was at home with his feet up injured and he still managed to lose his place to a teenager. Lukaku is nowhere near as good as he thinks he is so good riddance from me at least.

Bobby,

Sometimes it helps to read properly. I have nothing but an admiration of Jose as a coach. As a character, there we may differ. I believe, anyone who has certain reservation about Jose, should not be taken as he is not a Chelsea's fan. Nothing more, nothing less.

Diego Costa was sent out on loan so many times..Had to compete with the likes of Aguero & Falcao, kept his head down, got his chance & took it

And here we have Romelu Lukaku who said he wants to be a Chelsea legend one day. But he clearly not had enough balls to compete and earn the place and demands to be our 1st choice. LMAO.

£28m is an excellent price for him. I think he'll do well at Everton, but if he was not happy to fight for his place here, where he supposedly wanted to play, a Champions League club as well, then so be it.

I just pray that Costa doesn't have a significant drop in form or injury, because Torres and Drogba is a weak strike force. Schurrle may have to step in.

Would have liked him to have given it a year, but ultimately can't really blame him for looking after his own interests. Would like to think there's a buy back clause of sorts in the contract.

Will be interesting to see what the reaction will be when he returns to the Bridge this season (hopefully positive, pretty sure giving him a barrage of abuse will only provide him with extra motivation to make a difference).

Don't think he will get much of a reaction either way.

He didn't do anything of note in his 10 appearances for us to cheer him.

He'll be at a bigger club in the next 3-4 years if Everton don't improve, maybe United will pick him up when RVP goes.

Silly mistake.

That is a lot of speculation there. One can also say that Bamford will turn out to be the next Drogba for Chelsea and if Chelsea didn't make this "silly mistake", we would have never known.

Read properly? It's quite clear the way you talk you had a problem with Jose. You make vague comments all the time etc yet we're supposed to understand what you mean?

Bobby,

If you take a look around the Internet just to see what others think about Jose, it's not vague at all. The whole world of football is laughing at Chelsea for selling Lukaku & keeping Torres.

Meanwhile, you are telling me I have a problem with Jose? Lol.

Do you honestly think Jose would keep Torres if he had the choice?

If you arent aware, he has two years left running on a deal, worth a tremendous amount of money that he SIMPLY WONT GET ANYWHERE ELSE. Torres himself knows that, and said he will stay to see out his contract.

If he didn't have those 2 years left he would be out the door quicker than you could kick a ball.

How can you not understand that?

Who is laughing at us for selling Lukaku?

We got a near £30 million for a lad who lost his place in the World Cup to a teenager....

Not at all. Chelsea have been very astute about their selling. Torres is immovable, everyone knows that, because of his high salary and horrendous ability. We will see who has the last laugh.

Torres may appeared to be immovable. I know, this dud wants to sit out his contract. If Chelsea has paid him off, players like Sturridge, Lukaku could be on the team now.

Lukaku wouldn't, he doesnt want to be no 2 he wants to start games and he's not good enough when we have Costa now.

Of course someone on £175k p/w would want to stay when he wouldn't even get half of that elsewhere, we were the daft ones who gave him such a contract.

To those of you still harbouring doubts about the sale, just remember, the lumbering oaf cost us a Super Cup by passing his penalty to the GK.

Cheers for the cash Toffees.

One could say that, however considering the previous achievements of the two of them i'd say my scenario is a tad more likely.

You're right, should have sold JT after Moscow.

You're right, should have sold JT after Moscow.

There's a difference, JT was already a legend at the club having achieved several honours.

I doubt Lukaku strictly wanted to be no 1. That's just hearsay by Jose.

Why do you doubt it?

I have more trust in Jose than some jacked up kid who moans constantly.

Seems strange how you think Jose is always 'lying', what you got against Chelsea FC's greatest ever manager btw?

And there you go dancing around the subject, in talking about what you post no one else. No ones laughing at us for getting near £30 mil for him at all either.

Exactly yet he dances around the subject in his replies. I know if put my trust in Jose before some kid who didn't have the mentality needed to make it at Chelsea.

Not surprised. You shouldn't really sign for Chelsea (especially under Mourinho) if you're a young player, unless you're basically the finished produced and not a raw player like Hazard. One that I feel, Mourinho couldn't be bothered to manage or develop. Won't be surprised if Arsenal get him within the next few years if they're not able to find a WC striker by that time.
