Why sell Bertrand? He's a really promising player and has handled being the deputy left back well this season despite injury.

Do you honestly think we'll get 8mil for Marin?

Why would Begovic join us to be a second choice keeper when he could easily get first team play somewhere else?

Why sell Bertrand? He is as good as anyone will get for a backup left back, Yilmaz isn't a striker I would go for, I also think if we sign Khedira or another midfielder he should play with Ramires with Luiz as cb. If we sell Torres it's wishful thinking that we would get 20+ million for him. Begovic won't come to sit on the bench either. Finally some of the second or bit part players would be better out on loan, Chalobah Ake Shaw for example.

This seems very unrealistic to me in all.

To be honest mate i think your prices are off. Bruma for example will more than likely be let go for free or at least loaned out again until out of contract next summer.

In fairness to him, it is in euros, so i don't think those prices are too unreasonable, except for mikel. No one will pay more than a few buttons and a piece of lint for mikel. In fact i'd snap someone's hand off just for the piece of lint.

If you can sell Torres and Mikel for a combined 38 million euros you probably deserve a job at the club.

This is how i would sort things in the team.

 

Bring back from loans Lukaku,Chalobah and McEachran.That way we have Lukaku and Ba for cover,our midfield would be Lampard,Ramires,Mikel,Romeu,Chalobah and Josh,the more offensive midfield positions would be Hazard,Oscar,Mata,Marin,Moses.The bench would be very strong this way even if we don't bring back Chalobah and Josh then i would buy a midfielder like Fellaini and we are ready to go for next season.In the past few seasons and the thing we really missed is a strong bench like we had when Jose was in charge.

Every summer people want to remake the entire team. Gut our depth, and replace everyone past the first XI with the latest hot shots from across Europe.

 

This team is ready to win right now. You don't deliver trophies by taking an excellent team, gutting it, shoving 10 new players in the mix and hoping they gel within a year. 

Josh is no way near ready to be a player in our first team. At times he struggled in the championship last season. He needs a lot more game time before being up to standard.

This is how i would sort things in the team.

Also, Chelsea played almost 70 games this season. I know some players like Marin look like theyre certainly not making the grade here, but if we are losing 5-10 players we are gonna need to replace that depth somehow. It might not be the smartest thing to just recall youngsters when the gametime just wont be there for them.

I agree with bringing in Mangala.. but Porto are..stingy to say the least.. would they really sell for 12m Euros? 

 

I doubt we'll be able to offload Torres given the wages that he's on. Begovic is too good/expensive to be a back-up keeper too. 

Some of you want way too much.

 

The team is strong in most areas.

Forward: 

• Sell Torres OR keep him only as a squad player.
• Give Lukaku one more year on loan, either in England/Germany.
• Buy Cavani/Falcao.

Offensive Mid:

• Our strongest area in general, although Mazacar doesn't work as well as we'd want all of the time, they are too similar.
• Marin will never be a player.
• We need a strong Fellaini type next to 2/3 amigos with the 3rd as sub.

Defensive Mid:

• Sell Mikel, he is of no use to us.
• Push Luiz into the DM role.
• Ramires/Lampard/Romeu depending on the opposition.
• Ramires: If we need speed.
• Lampard: If we need an extra scoring option OR more leadership.
• Romeu: if we need and extra defender.
• Ake to get a few games also.

Backline:

• Buy a Central Defender to cover Luiz being pushed up.
• Partnered with either Terry or Cahill.  Perhaps both being used with the purchase only as a cover.
• RB and LB we are okay as I think Dave and Bertrand are our future there.
