Apparently we sold him for £12.75m. Not a bad deal and at least we didn't make a loss.

All the best to him at Roma. No hard feelings, but unfortunately it didn't work out as the club would have liked. 

 

I always felt he was a knee-jerk signing after a few impressive performances in the Champions League groups stages for FC Basel in the 2013-2014 season, which prompted us to sign him in the Winter transfer window in 2014.

I read that we sold him for 16 mil, making a 5 mil profit.

15 mil pound if you include the loan fee.

So 14 goals later, we still sell as if he was a prospect. I wonder how much would Roma charge us if it was the other way around (we buying)?

We got Kanté instead, it couldn't have turned out better.

12 mil for a player we dont need isnt bad. thats like 1/6th of a Lukaku...(i really hope we dont spend stupid money on Lukaku. Whatever we get for Costa should be our absolute maximum we spend on his replacement)
