Paul Pogba - Needs to Sign!

Featured Replies

If it's going to take 60million, then there is no chance .[/quote

Curious, what price would be acceptable? 50, 45, 39? If cfc can sell some fringe players that will undoubtably help even out the books. It may just come down to how many players you need to put up dor transfer. I would be more than happy to sell two or three players to fund the purchase of pogba

To be honest I think a lot of it has come from the picture of Pogba playing football manager as Chelsea and signing himself for us. Although as a fan of his I'm hoping there's more to it than that!

I think this is all there is to it. I really cant see us spending 60 million on anyone unless Messi or Ronaldo wanted to join us and then the price would be higher than 60 mill.

As much as i'd love to see PP in a chelsea shirt...i dont think thats gonna happen. unless we give them like 20-30M + rami. and thats not gonna happen either since JM is inlove with rambo.

Paul Pogba will remain at Juventus next season, his agent has claimed. (Dailymail)

"We have decided not to speak of the transfer market with regards to Paul until after the World Cup," Pogba's agent Mino Raiola tells Rai Sport. "But I can calmly say that his future will still be at Juventus, where he feels very happy."

If his future is at Juventus then why bother saying he will not say anything about the transfer market until after the world cup ? if his future is at Juve then surely there is nothing to talk about.

Not sure if these questions that you are directing at me are rhetorical or if I'm expected to know the answers.

For clarity, I don't.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has not given up hope of signing France international Paul Pogba, 21, even though the Juventus midfielder's agent claims he does not want to leave Turin.Evening Standard

love the headline, the three paragraph article with no quotes from Mourinho, but this from the agent:

Chelsea would use the sale of John Obi Mikel and Ramires to help fund some of the £60m fee but agent Mino Raiola said: “The boy is happy in Turin and will not leave.”

Well who's gonna replace David Luiz? We can't go with Oscar, Fabregas and Matic in away games against big teams?

He was crucial for us against some big matches City, PSG, Arsenal..

I thought Pogba would be an ideal candidate for our central midfield with him, Fabregas and Matic our midfield can work even in big games..

I know 60millions is too much but this guy is just amazing and has huge potential he could be a long term investment for our rebuilding side..

I suppose we still have Mikel and also MVG who we don't really know what he can do or not do yet. Tiago too although is that even a done deal yet?

I don't think Pogba is a priority tbh, our midfield is stronger than last season.

Left back and striker first then see what happens?

yup. massively want it to happen but i'm not yet convinced that it will. I just cant see us spending that much money.

There are some huge assumptions about funding this move with player sales, most notably Mikel. Unfortunately for us, however, Mikel has just come out and said that he has no intention of leaving Chelsea, has 3 years left on his deal (however the f**k that happened i will never f**king know), and is looking forward to playing alongside Fabregas next season:

"I don't have a problem with the signing of Cesc Fabregas. We have played against each other a lot of times. We don't play in the same position anyway."

"Chelsea are my home away from home, my second home. You never know what's going to happen in football, but I'm very happy at Chelsea and I want to remain at Chelsea."

"I still have three years left on my contract and want to stay there. I want to congratulate Cesc with his transfer and I'm looking forward to playing with him."

It's all good and well saying "we'll fund it by shifting out the sh*te players like Marin, Moses and Mikel", but the likelihood of all that happening is marginalised by the players' desire to stay, sit on their arse, and not go to a "lesser" team. Pretty sure Mikel turned down Besiktas last summer due to personal terms - we have to remember that just because we want the player to go, doesnt mean they actually will. His wages will put off a lot of potential suitors, and while I totally agree that in an ideal world a player like pogba would be part-funded by selling some of our dead wood (aka sh*te), i struggle to see it being as simple and clear cut as is currently being bandied about.

I live in hope, i want PP in a chelsea shirt, i just think that at that price, £60 f**king million quid, together with his agent coming out and saying he is going nowhere, that this is all paper talk and conjecture with absolutely no substance other than a picture of the man himself playing f**king football manager.

i f**king HATE the transfer window... silly season doesnt even begin to describe it.

journos are c**ts.

So Mikel is staying...

Jesus :(

Well please tell me can we go with this midfield against big teams (away)

---Matic----------Fabregas/Van Ginkel

-----------Oscar-----------

I just don't think so.. well this midfield can work against small teams or big teams at home but we just can't risk it.

So I really think we need more than a Fabregas or Van GInkel..

I just don't trust Mikel... David Luiz was rash I agree but he was too good for us against big teams. With him and Matic in the middle I felt safer tbh.

Van Ginkel haven't played a full game in the PL let alone starting him against big team for a team who is challenging for the title.

If we want to win the title and challenge for the UCL....

looks like it, or at the very least it looks like he has no intention of leaving. who the f**k is responsible for that sack of sh*te having another 3 years to run on his deal? Did the c**t sign the longest contract in football history? absolutely chronic, sapping the salary pot by funding mikel sitting on his f**king arse and getting the odd run out after 87 minutes when 2-0 up.

we have a lot of real f**king crap on the books and it infuriates me that we dont just cut our losses on various elements of total sh*te who are evidently never going to get a sniff of regular game time.

Marin

Moses

Mikel

Romeu

PVA

PVA is an interesting one. Has anyone seen him play more than a handful of times? His contract expires at the end of today - will be interesting to see who we release

I think if Tiago is actually signed for us then he would be used as the 'luiz' type for the bigger games beside Matic with Fabregas further forward.

I'd rather we spunk most of that on Pjanic of Roma, best ballplayer in Europe, imvho...

Not needed. We already have Fabregas and Oscar who play in a similar position

Nah, it wasn't directed at you. I was just trying to understand why his agent said anything about a transfer if he is saying he will be staying at Juventus.

Last season we used Matic-Luiz-Ramires.

Ohh Tiago I forgot about him. But let's see if he signs.

Ooh. Forgot about Tiago as well. Was just thinking 'what if Matic was injured?'. Ramires - Mikel would hurt my soul.
