Not condoning it whatsoever because I think it's the lowest of the low to spit etc.. But in the game it happened, Ramos and Pepe were elbowing, stamping, taunting, grabbing him by the throat and so on all game long, not excusing it but it must be annoying.

 

Of course, and those are some of the reasons I wouldn't want Ramos or Pepe either. That kind of stuff has no place in football. It is petulant and abhorrent in the extreme.

 

I'm not necessarily saying I wouldn't want Costa. I'm saying that it puts me in an uncomfortable position of potentially supporting a player I find detestable.  There is no doubt in my mind that Costa would be an amazing addition to our squad for his footballing ability.

I detest Suarez and think hes a mutant but I know for a fact he'd change us into title winners and maybe European Champs.

It's hard to ignore players bad points but when they are world class sometimes it's easier to stomache.

If we are willing to forgive Terry for sleeping with his team mates ex, spitting on Tevez and racially abusing that pillock Ferdinand.... then I think we can forgive almost anything and stop pretending footballers are all role models

Depends if you believe Terry did those things.

 

Even if Terry slept with his ex teams mates ex wife i don't see what that has to do with football. He never spat on Tevez, that was bullsh*t and i have looked at that moment countless times now. I also don't believe he racially abused Anton Ferdinand.

A gif proves nothing. And i never said it never happened, i just don't think he said it in a racist way. From everything i could see it seems like he only said what he said after he was accused of saying it. There is no evidence that proves beyond doubt that Terry said anything racist towards Ferdinand.

 

Everything that has been aimed at Terry has been guess work or gossip. It seems like people don't need proof these days to find someone guilty.

It would be a hammer blow to us if he is our number one target (which it looks like).

WAGNH did an analysis about him. And there are some really bad disciplinary issues. But he's a damn good striker though.

Koke is utterly fantastic, the man is a genius, to the extent that he could fill Iniesta's boots within the Spain team, and I rate Iniesta as one of the greatest players I have seen in my lifetime. He can play anywhere in midfield, and he takes set pieces. I would have thought we'd have some trouble keeping a transfer this outrageous under the radar (although I suppose we could pretend it was something to do with Costa or Courtois), but if we were to pull it off it would be incredible.
