Would hate to see Oscar leave with all of his best years in front of him.

 

Well I doubt he could contribute much less than he has over the last few years so obviously.

I don't understand where all the hate for Oscar comes from. Yes, he not prolific but he was never purchased as a finished article and before Jose came back he was in and out of the team. Should he be our nailed on number 10, no probably not but did that mean he should be sold? I don't think so.

well some us think he wont really improve and ultimately will fail to make the grade. sure, we might keep him as a squad player but if we get a chance to sell a squad player for 25+ million then we should take it

Or he could do a de Bruyne and improve dramatically for his next team. I agree we should sell surplus players but let's start with the ones that aren't playing first rather then weaken our first team

DeBrunye has had to go to a less compete ive league to do that though and one with a winter break.

KdB didnt really improve dramatically, he was always class, he just wasnt a Mourinho type player. I think Mourinho pulling Oscar at half time was a sign of things to come

Wouldn't mind selling Oscar if the price is right, anything below 25m is probably not worth it considering he still has the best years infront of him, easy to forget he's only 23 years old.

Ramires however I have no problem selling at all, not to mention a whole load of other players we currently have both on loan and in our current first team.

 

Ramires, Mikel, Salah, Luis, Drogba, Moses, Romeu, Kakuta, Marin, McEachran, Van Ginkel, Davila and Perica should all be gone by the end of the season. We then try and use the funds gained from these players to try and bring in Pogba or Koke and also recall Bamford, Kalas, Ake from loan and give these 3 similar roles to what Zouma has got this season and they'll grow into class players and start regularly. Not to mention RLC should also be starting more games too in the middle

well i saw quality with de bruyne. i dont with oscar

 

i actually thought, and hoped, de bruyne would push out oscar out of the starting line up last season.

 

i think people are taking this improvement thing for granted. just because hes young-ish, doesnt mean hes undoubtedly bound to improve

Not hate, just fed up of seeing a player go missing for large chunks of every season and show little effort to turn things around

Anyone else want Busquets at chelsea? Matic - Busquets would be pretty awesome defensively

I can see Ramires being sold because his value is starting to dip, but I'll be sad to see him go. He's been the prototypical squad player: versatile, extremely fit, and pretty reliable.

I don't want to see Oscar go though. He's still maturing and consistency will likely come. A lot of people are forgetting just how good he was that first Fall-Winter for us. I have no doubt he'd become a star if we sold him.

He's been poor for since new years but he starts as there isn't anyone better to play in his place. Surely this is the same with Oscar? Neither should be sold Imo, but both drastically require competition for their places to push them on.

Don't think effort is ever missing from his game. You can critical his form for sure, but I don't think that is fair.

Cesc has had several good games since new years, Oscar havent. Its fair enough to say the consistency will come. It might, but he hasnt improved the slightest in 3 years now, so how long do we wait? This is the time we can still get a good chunk of cash for him, if we wait two years and he is still the same player, then we wont

Agreed, it was fine when he was the legs of the team, hussling tired cm of the ball and turning possession but Oscar has the engine to do that. I still think Oscar can contribute to our success next season

If we get a good price for Oscar, i wouldnt mind letting him go. Especially considering we have the likes of Cuadrado and Willian to replace him, and to an extent even people like Baker

£30 million and I'd bite your hand off for Oscar.

Not sure how much Ramires would command and I doubt Jose would let a versatile player like him go
