June
This can't be right. Frankly, Ancelotti's ability is above Benitez's.
Mummy
it's some kind of wonderful dream. lol clearly all they(real madrid) care about is the champions league. FSW is not winning la liga. I don't see him lasting long, bad finish at napoli too. Real should have just kept Carlo and had him groom ZIdane, such a strange decision. Alpha Blondy
Well Benitez has previous with Real, I suppose that might be a factor. Presumably they are gunning for another Champions League win, they won't stand much of a chance in La Liga with Benitez in charge. Then again Ancelotti is hardly a master of league football (despite the double with us); I guess the same logic applies.

If it couldn't work with Mourinho and Ancelotti, then what makes them think it will work with Benitez ? When do the board finally realise that they are the problem and their policy of signing atleast 1 great player every season isn't working ? They may well be able to buy the best players in the world, but it's not going to do you any good if they can't work as a team. Ronaldo may well be their key player, but he is the perfect example of what is wrong at that club. They are all about individuals, not team work. Chelsbear
Ronaldo isn't the problem as in he has been a HUGE success and will go down as one of Real best ever players, he's key to what they have won in the past 4-5 years, more so than anyone else at the club. The problem though is they are obsessed with bringing in the new big name doing the rounds. Bale and Rodriguez being the more recent two. They got rid of Ozil and Di Maria to bring them in when at the time those two were arguably Real's best players along with Ronaldo. They never seem to give their teams time to settle on the same group of players and it's always going to be in the back of players minds that the next star to emerge will no doubt be taking their place in the side. It's a silly way to run a successful football club but Real are Real and they want to be in the spotlight saying "We can get who we want, when we want!". Jezz
FSW better than Ancelotti? Edited August 3, 2015 by Jezz
MissouriBlue
Can't stand Benitez he just reminds me of that annoying scumbag at work that always gets ahead due to sheer good luck. I think the appointment is Real's perfect punishment for sacking Carlo. Hope they finish 3rd/4th under Benitez, would make my day.

They will soon see their mistake when they are losing and Benitez goes and subs a RB for another RB. Edited August 3, 2015 by Scott Harris

Scott Harris
I just hope FSW and Ronaldo get on enough to keep Ronaldo at Madrid rather than returning to Manure Even if they fall out i don't think Ronaldo would return to United. He's got nothing left to achieve in England, coming back would be a step backwards.
Zola
Perhaps he might fancy the German league. By the end of this coming season he'll be 31 and a half...hard to know what he will want to do then.... he could be tempted for big pay days even if it was a return to Utd.
