Next season's home kit?

Featured Replies

And how come fans only wear the shirt, how about turning up in the full ensemble, shinpads an all.?

because they don't want to look like monumental bellends perhaps?

Wahey. Thought they preferred the training track suits?

having been to Scouse land reebok track suits are the order of the day but have seen many a grown man parading around in a shirt, shorts, socks boots and shin pads too!

I'm wondering which PL team will be nominated for the worst kit.

Most of our kits this season have to be in contention, including the hideous keeper kit. The third shirt might be okay, if we ever unveil it. The away shirt is okay.

lol well any adult who wears a shirt is a bit of a bellend in my book, but not full on monumental !

United have unveiled their new away kit, they are definitely trying to an impression of us I think. It seems every team is wearing the three stripes now, I wish we'd go with Umbro again.

I'm dead set on buying the Chelsea away shirt, and I'd like to put a name on the back.

I'm not sure who I should put though. I fear Hazard could leave, and I question Diego Costa's longevity at the club based purely off of his hamstrings being of a 45 year old's body.

I was thinking of getting Terry or Matic on the back as Terry is a club legend and Matic seems like he'll be a mainstay. Maybe Azpilicueta. Although, if Zouma breaks into our starting lineup within the next season, I'll get one of his no matter what :P

Any thoughts/suggestions?

I always get long serving players on the back of my shirts. Terry, Cahill or Ivanonic, even Mikel, I think Azpi will be here for quite a long time too. I tend to get the shirts because I've built up a massive collection, dating back to the 80's.

Terry 100%

I just wish there was an option to not have the sponser logo printed on, I would pay to not have it on.

Well, it's more the red than the logo I think, if we moan enough they might change the colour next season but the sponsor is here to stay, I wouldn't be surprised if the marketing team at Chelsea did research on forums to gauge fan response, mostly twitter but I'm sure they pop in, keep coming up with suggestions, you never know, plus I think the shiny, stripy material plus the open collar and the red are a bad combo, the white isn't that bad at all, besides the big bloody french flag on the sleeves, I was hoping the black 3rd strip might look alright, but I think an all white logo, smaller and on a nice slick blue shirt could look quite decent

A guy turns up to my gym in a full strip, every day, socks the lot..on another note wonder why our 3rd kit isn't on sale yet

Was it John Terry?

I wish we would try a third colour sometime that is totally different from any other team in the league. Would take a lil research but I'm guessing that an all orange kit (think barca) or any "hot" or intense tertiary colour would do the trick. Or maybe getting a better deal with Adidas (or anyone else) in which they design a one-off look exclusively for chelsea during that season. Too often these days are kits just picked from designs that are offered over a season. This results in other clubs having the exact same kit apart from the colour changes.

But the point I was attempting to make was that to the best of my knowledge it was 1984? that kits began featuring a sponsors logo on the front? Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of other leagues that have sponsors on the back and front of the top and some have the front and back of the shorts as well! Call me old fashion but it would be mighty fine to see a sponser-less modern kit.
