Anyone checked out this new Zombie Series? I think it's pretty cool...Discuss

I think it's been really good so far, probably better than the main series.

I haven't gotten past the first episode yet, but from what I saw, the back-story is great to watch even though it's typical of any other zombie movie. The cast of the original set the bar high though.

First 2 episodes were good. My only concern is whether it will just turn into walking dead, once there is more zombies than people.

Well it is the prequel for The Walking Dead so it's bound to turn into it.

The young lad who's a drug addict, he's definitely got that Johny Depp/River Phoenix vibe to him, reckon he could be a top actor.

Agreed, I kept thinking blimey this guy is good looking (no homo).

He looks like Edward Sissorhand.

Well it is the prequel for The Walking Dead so it's bound to turn into it.

I get that is a prequel, but how long can they drag out the couple of months we don't see at the start of walking dead? There is already 2 seasons planned, im hoping we don't end up with 2 identical series with different actors.

I'm hoping they manage to keep this series fresh, cause it's started off really well imo.

I'm kinda bored with walking dead though, the characters don't seem to learn and they make poor decisions on a weekly basis.

My wifey loves Walking Dead ( and this too) but after every episode I just go "has no one thought to dig a freaking trench/moat and have fences on both sides?".

Oh, oh, oh. And I will never understand how Zombies beat tanks/aircraft carriers etc...

I thought they were daft to take the Guvunor down. That place had a school, electricity, hot water, proper fences. Who cares if he was a looney.

I agree in some ways they should have taken him and anyone else who followed him closely down. That way they could have lived there with the others.

I love this spin off and interesting to see how it all went down in a well populated place like los angeles. 

 

I wonder if they will somehow have survivors from this series into the new season of walking dead. Guess not but it would be fun!

Perhaps alluding to the fact that their will be no main character survivors?

First season only has 6 episodes, but don't fret. Next season will have 15 episodes.
