At 28 (29 by the end of the season) he's had one stand out season in France. 

 

Only has 15 caps for France over a 5 year period.

I don't think we should sign him and that's totally based on his age, as you mentioned.

He was excellent during the 2011 season where Hazard also blossomed. I remember an interview with him stating his game drastically improved by training with Joe Cole at Lille. I think it was 2011 anyway. Joe Cole stayed behind to work on Payet's game and you can see a lot of similarities in the way they play.

If he were younger, I'd definitely want him at Chelsea, but he's almost 29 and would only be a short term signing.

Think a deal of cash plus marquihinos for hazard to psg is sounding more likely at the moment.

Jesus christ there are better players we should be in for that bloody Payet. Im hoping we get top 4 and Liverpool don't because i wouldn't mind Coutinho here. Fekir of Lyon aswell if he can come back well from his injury.

He will just be another Salah for us. It's one thing playing with all the freedom in the world for west ham, and complete another playing for Chelsea under the strict tactical instructions from Jose. Also we don't need another good squad player, we have too many of them already, it's either a top tier player or nothing.

 

I really hated the way we play in the final third, it's almost impossible to score with sideway passes, awful crossing, no movement and no over lap running. We are banking on an opposition mistake to score from open play these days.

When your width is coming from Zouma what more can you expect?

Not saying he is perfect but he is better than what we have bar Hazard. Don't really see who else is out there to be fair.
